First line in the Demo version downloaded from PSN today. And obviously as we all know, a line in the 3DO version. Coincidence? I (like to) think not. :)

Gone are the fast and furious cars, welcome back to Super Cars and the cop chases are fun. It's not 3DO NFS (obviously) but the demo is pretty neat.

I love NFS. Christmas, for 17 years, wouldn't be Christmas without the Need for Speed :)

Best thing EA did was handing it over to criterion. Once again in an interview they unashamedly referred specifically to the 3DO version as their inspiration.
It was nice hearing the name 3DO mentioned on Australian TV again :)

and on a side note Trip has been immortalised in Civ V with an historical quote on electronics!
