OK, something just hit me..
What the heck kind of name is that for a game console? The "Try?"
I don't get it.
Was something lost in translation???
I don't think we would have seen a "Sega Attempt" game system on the market. (No, the Dreamcast doesn't count.)

TRY not Try. For some reason this comes up quite a bit in Japanese electronic culture and it's always in full caps. What it means no one has ever been able to tell me. I think the most resent thing I've watched (not produced) that had this in it was either Lucky Star or Tenchi Muyo GXP. Probably LS because Konata is a total game freak. (she and I could be best friends) And today I watched an episode where she was playing on the Wii!
"Wait. You don't have a bag of charcoal in your gaming room???"
I was browsing and saw the TRY...
And I've also seen it listed as T.R.Y. by some...
Maybe initials??
Just seems kind of weird..
(Then again, "Wii" is kind of weird, but the "Wii would like to play ads" have appealed to all the non-gamers I know, a lot of whom now own a Wii.)
I will admit after doing some searching and actually seeing pictures, the TRY is VERY NICE looking.
I like the boxy, almost Art Deco feel of the FZ-1. However, the TRY really looks nice...
