Fz-1 Reads burned Music CD but not games (same media)

I just bought a Japanese FZ-1 on my trip to Japan last month.
I bought a SSFIIx with the 3DO, which works fine.
But I could not get my 3DO to read games on CD-R.
I even bought some Taiyu Yuden, and burned with an old burner at 4X - my FZ-1 still refuse to load the games.
And I tried to copy a few music cd using the same CD-R, which plays fine on the 3DO.

Any suggestion? Thanks in advance!

the topic has been done to death.

Most likely candidate is cheap blank CDs.

Yes. I actually went throught all the related posts, but did not find a solution.
I already tried Verbatim and Taiyo Yuden, which I thought were the best brands for blank media.
