Onside Soccer 'Stripy Blokes' technology.
Has anyone looked at the characters in Onside Soccer?
They look like a mix of voxel technique (from Commanche) and Doom wall rendering technique.

I've always been a big fan of the 3DO original FIFA soccer. How does this game compare to FIFA, and what do you guys consider to be the best football sim on the 3DO? I've only ever played FIFA. And I mean graphically and playability overall. Can someone list all the 3DO football (soccer) games?
Trip WHOkins?!?
World's greatest 3DO Need for Speed racer [even 'X man' says so, digitally immortalized in the game...R.I.P.] http://3do.cdinteractive.co.uk/viewtopi ... ight=speed

Hmm, that's a tough one. I'd place FIFA and Olympic Soccer very closesly at the top. Olympic Soccer is a faster and more arcade style of game compared to the more simulated FIFA, it also has some nifty comentary.
Here's the list of Soccer games I'm aware of (put in rank order)
1, FIFA (J-league and J-league 95 are Japanese versions, the latter does seem to run smoother, don't know why it wasn't used as FIFA 95.)
2, Olympic Soccer - It's only let-down is the ridiculous distance players slide tackle)
3, Striker - Not much of an improvement over the 16-bit version. I never liked how the ball bounced around, it's like it's magnetically attracted to the ground!!!
4, Onside Soccer - Close call between this and Striker, perhaps if it had been developed a little better it would have challenged FIFA. Nice to have a new Soccer game though and the management feature is unique, closest thing the 3DO will have to Sensible Soccer (why did we not get that when the Jaguar had it?)
5, V Goal Soccer 96 (Japanese release) - Reminds me of the old arcade games in the early 90's, but just a little too basic unfortunately. Some nice features, but doesn't have the lastability of the other games.
