Small Introduction

Post by jdv3DO » Thu Aug 16, 2012 3:27 am

Hello I'm new to the site, been collecting 3DO for a little less than a year now and have 169 US titles complete. I have been searching for certain titles for now and can't wait to find them. I also have about 200 imports, most from japan. I do have a handful of Korean titles in the longbox, but only the re-released US titles, like Crash n Burn and Shockwave among a few other titles. I hope to post pictures of my collection soon.

The only question I have as far as US releases go is the game Mind Teazzer. I hear there are two versions, one longbox, the other is jewel case with slip cover only?

titles currently seeking: DinoPark Tycoon, ESPN Skiing, Mind Teazzer, Woody Woodpecker Vol 3

Interesting. I know most of the other adult games came in slip cases, but I have only seen Mind Teazzer in its not so long box (it's not even normal size)

Yes Mind Teazzer comes in two forms. The larger box isn't quite like the normal long boxes but it's reasonably close.

Hello! jdv3DO!
Do you have DOOM of the Japanese version?
I do not have only DOOM in Japanese 3DO software
Because I make a note using translation software, I think that it becomes a poor English sentence.
I'm sorry.

If there is rude expression, please point it out.
Thanking you in advance.

As I know, Doom for 3DO never released in Japan. Here you can watch video with Randy Scott (president of Art Data Interactive), where he tells that "Doom for 3DO will be released in Japan soon", but it's only words. They had no time to release it.
Looking for sealed and rare 3DO games and stuff. Just PM me about what you have to offer.

It's scan from some Japan game magazine. Doom's release was planned 1996/4/26, when 3DO was almost dead.

DOOM for Japan is not released at the store,
As for it, only a mail order was carried out.
The contents of the product are the same as an edition in America, but are printed on a jacket with "BASHO HOUSE"
Because I make a note using translation software, I think that it becomes a poor English sentence.
I'm sorry.

What does "Basho" mean? Is it an English or Japanese word?
This word sounds a bit like it could mean shooting, exploding
or just general destruction. :)

"BASHOU HOUSE(バショウハウス)" is the name of the import firm.
By the way, the company is bankrupted now, and there is not it anymore.
Therefore it became hard to obtain the edition of DOOM in Japan now.

I've never saw and heard that japan Doom for 3DO exist. Are you sure that it was offered only by mail order or it's only your suggestion?

I think that we should ask bitrate about it. He should know...

The game had to be extremely close to being released in Japan - but I have never seen any evidence of it being released there. I have a large number of Japanese 3DO pre-release / beta / review disks as well, and I have never happened upon a version of Japanese 3DO Doom in that form either.
