Yeah, it's waaaaaay more prevalent on Amazon on eBay because it's easier to know that you're competing with the same item, since it's in that centralized ASIN. I work in IT for a online retailer and we've made pricers and stuff for the various venues we sell on. We only sell new products and not any sort of collectable item, so it's a lot more straight forward than collectables or something.3DO Experience wrote:So that's what's going on with the video game prices.........
It's pretty interesting once you know how that stuff works. You can watch specific sellers and change your price around to figure out exactly what percentage their repricer is set at and force their prices back up and stuff like that. I find that kind of stuff fascinating but I guess that's why I'm in IT, huh?
