Shockwave II Sarconia-FRUSTRATION!!!....

Post by dave4shmups » Fri Sep 23, 2011 1:32 am

This game is very well done, but I cannot for the life of me get past the part in Sarconia where you have to fly your ship over a certain pattern. I've viewed the 3rd pattern-the one you're supposed to use-on the video, but the problem is that it gives you a top-down view of the pattern. When you're in the actual mission, you're flying straight at it. Unless there's something I'm missing.

Honestly, I cannot understand why Electronic Arts choose to put this impossible mission in an otherwise awesome game. :?

The Shockwave games are challenging to be sure. I seem to remember the section you talk about as being tough, but its been a long time since I've played it last. Shockwave 2 is the best of the 3 SW games.

I don't mind the fact that they are challenging games, but this section is just ridiculous. If you were able to at least view the video showing the 3rd track during the mission, that would help.

I remember a few levels destroying my morale, but nothing that was impossble. There was a turret mission that made me throw the controller more than once.

It's all worth it though. I love the ending easter egg.
