How (not) to get hired

Because hell, it's not like going the regular route was helping. I'll try whatever: http://losangeles.craigslist.org/lac/re ... 42774.html

Astonishingly I have already received two resume requests in the first 24 hours. I resisted the temptation to send them a doodle of Tie Fighters vs Tron tanks with my CV in cartoon word bubbles.

Wow. Speechless. In a positive way. Two requests? Congratulations Vance.

As a person who reads CV's (Resume's) it cam across as witty, intelligent and honest. In some ways it's pretty good. :)

The one thing I absolutely despise about writing resumes is the objective field. If at all possible, I avoid it. But I'm using a format in resumizer.com's selection that looks really naked without one, going straight from personal info to skills. So I need an objective, the worst kind of ten dollar word ass-smoochery there is. Look up the samples. They all suck.

So, at least temporarily, mine reads:

1. Rescue the POWs.
2. Locate Super Joe.
3. Destroy Project ALBATROSS.

I want the resume to be a bit more serious, but this might have to be it. It's the only joke in there and it avoids me feeling like slime.

I vote for choice #1. That is, if this is a poll.
