Just a suggestion...

It seems like the SPAM around here has been getting worse and worse. With all the SPAM that's going on, why not make it to where the admin has to personally verify any new members? That works well, I've done that myself on a yahoo group that I've run for over 10 years now, and that's what they do over at www.pcenginefx.com

Just seems like it might be a good idea, just a suggestion, or you can do what some places like Sega-16 does and ask a question during registration. Sega -16 asks "What is the CD add on for the Sega Genesis called".. which is of course, duh Sega CD.

You could have it ask the new member something like "What is the third letter in 3DO?". Bots are stupid, even they wouldn't know the answer to that.

We had talked about doing a whole thing with talking to new people. There was a big discussion both in the thread and through PMs. In the end it didn't happen. If you feel like reading (what's left) go to This forum and privacy.

Some posts were deleted due to people not even regarding what what written in the first post. And this was after WindowsKiller had his account removed and started a new one as there were a few references to that.
