Old thread bumping

Post by Trev » Fri Jun 19, 2009 4:24 pm

I know some forums frown heavily on this ... do we have a stance here? I've been thinking bout some older posts for the newer members (and cause it's been kinda on the quiet side as of late) Interesting topics only of course, just a few at a time ... Yes? No?

If you have something good to add or are willing to talk about the topic then yes, but bumping just for the sake of moving the topic is a waste.

You'll know if you have upset us, you won't be able to login anymore. ;)

Bump away as far as I am concerned?

What's people's beef with bumping anyway -- i honestly never really understood.

Most people on this planet like to think of reasons to complain. I get it at work all the time. oh crap. Now I am complaining! :)

I think its better to bump an old topic if you want to talk about it then to start a new one and rehash the same old conversation.
Sometimes opinions change and it helps to see ones own previous thoughts.

Hmmm ... I guess my idea to bump old threads isn't as new as I thought. :P

You guys bumped so many topics, I thought a spam bot was loose again. I can't read all of these threads.... I hope I am not missing too many. I guess it's my fault for not checking in two days though.

Well, for a while there was no need to check in every day ... things were so quiet. I'm trying not to go too bump crazy, but there are so many good older posts. With new members, plus the quiet spell, it seemed like a good time to do some bumping.
