FlipOut for the Jaguar. I always liked the atmosphere in this puzzle game. I also appreciated that they were trying something different, rather than just recycling the Tetris mold. I'm only a moderate puzzle fan, but I had good times w/this one.

Desert Falcon - For the Atari 7800 is a Zaxxon like shoot em up with power ups and a nice fake 3d view, the setting is in ancient egypt and the visuals show this well. I found this one addictive, A bit old but give it a try

Toki for the Atari Lynx. Perhaps my favorite Lynx game ever, this very colorful platformer offers up plenty of challenge. Good memories with this game led to me later picking up the Genesis version, but I still like this one the best.

Keystone Kapers for the Atari 2600. One of the cornerstones that built Activision, it's infinitely replayable, and was a standout staple for Atari's line that separated them from Intellivision and Magnavox. EGM's Game of the Year in 1983. I'll say it's uncommon, because it took a backseat within Activision to their own River Raid and Pitfall titles, despite being arguably their best game.

Pinball fantasies for the Jaguar. I've always loved pinball video games, and this one is no exception. First played it on my cd32, but the jag version wins out w/brighter colors & tighter control (plus no load times) 4 tables to choose from too, so good variety. Fun times.

Pitfall 2 on the 5200. One of the first true sequels, actually expanding the scope of the original. And on the 5200, there was an uber-hard extra cavern. I could never beat it as a kid, and I was pretty good. That bonus cavern was designed strictly for top-level pros.

For the 2600 I would recommend Vanguard - plenty of explosions, great visuals (plenty of color), and the action was non-stop. Easily one of the best games ever released for the platorm.

For the Jaguar I would recommend Alien vs. Predator - Best looking game released for the short lived Jaguar. Beutiful textures, realistic audio, and great game play. Easy to see why this is the most sought after game for the platform.

Raiden for the Jaguar - Variety makes this one of my fav shmups. Two key reasons? 1 - Flying both in the darkness of space, and just above colorful planet surfaces. 2 -Powerups are numerous, and spaced out just perfectly. A classic all the way that looks, sounds, and plays great on the Jag!

Baldies for Jaguar CD.

Great strategy game where you control the bald people and must wipe out the people that have hair. A lot of fun but you'll need a Memory Track cartridge to save.

Stella's Stocking for the CVS/2600.

A great set of X-mas season games that not only are fun but have title screens that are sure to impress you!

Atari Video Cube- 2600

Basically a Rubix cube for Atari, a super addicting puzzle game.

Freeway for the 2600 - Not as deep as Frogger, but still a real fun game from a simpler time. A blast in simultaneous 2 player mode!

Electro Cop on the Atari Lynx is worth a good look, for an early title it shows off how impressive the Lynx hardware is.
The game involves hacking doors jacking into computers and blasting bad guys thru the many levels of the Megacorp building as you hunt another robot. Check it out.

Todd's Adventures in Slime World on the Lynx is still fab. Crazy but beautiful level design with top notch visuals and gameplay.
It completely outshines the Mega Drive version.

The 2600 has a pretty good version of Gyruss. While a classic back in its day, Gyruss seems to have aged poorly when compared to its peers (I never seem to hear this talked amongst other arcade hits of the early 80's) But I like it, and while Atari's version isn't the best, I dig it for managing to have a full awesome soundtrack! :) Grab a good controller  and fire up this forgotten hit.

I ended up finding a Lynx with 7 games at the game store in town today and I gotta say, I'm pretty impressed with the thing.

My favorite of the group so far is A.P.B. It's a neat little overhead driving game that feels like a combination of Rally X and Spy Hunter, without the guns. Give it a shot!

I had a Lynx. I think my favorites were "Todd's Adventures In Slime Worls" and "Super Squeek". For graphics wow-ities, I loved Electrocop and Warbirds.

The Lynx is a nice little (or big?) handheld!

A personal favorite of mine (that most seem to not really care for?) is Shadow of the Beast. Great animation, great music, great subtle use of scaling, and gameplay that is solid provided you like games that require light puzzle solving and a hefty dose of memorization.

I could've sworn I gave a shout out to Blue Lightning already, but since I can't find it here it is ... I am of course not talking about the Jag cd version, but the Lynx one. The Lynx chat has put me in the mood to play it. Fun game!

For the Atari 2600, Airlock. I can't say it's fantastic or anything, but I did like it and the water filling up the lower levels as you play is cool.

Yep, I'm gonna have to second Todd's Adventures in Slime World as well. Neat little exploration game, almost like a Metroid-lite made by Apogee Software or something. Really, really enjoyable!

The original game may not be that uncommon, but the Atari 7800 port of Centipede has an uncommon feature ... 2 player support! I can't tell you how much fun this is! I was never a huge fan of Centipede back in the day, but co-op has one me over in a big way. :) I know it was released on a bunch of older systems, but grab the 7800 version if you play w/family or friends.
