Post by Trev » Thu Jun 12, 2008 4:05 pm

How censored is this version? Is all the blood & satanic stuff eliminated?

Just curious is all ... afterall 3DO has its own port of Doom.

It was a little censored from what I remembered. more like the snes couldn't handle it. It didnt really take much from the game though. I have to admit, I used to play it alot. It was the first version of doom I had played. Now I look at it like, how could I have played that.

I think the snes was conveniently censored by the lack of ceiling and floor textures... Still better than the 3do port, I bought the SNES one new and beat it :)

I know Nintendo was big on blood, but I was curious about the demonic stuff. If I recall right, in the snes port of Wolfenstein all of the Nazi symbols & images were removed. Was doom similar?
