Castlevania: Symphony Of The Night / Akumajou Dracula X

Post by 3DO Experience » Fri Aug 31, 2012 5:48 pm

I have the Saturn version of Akumajou Dracula X: Nocturne in the Moonlight and I'm looking for a great site for the entire game. I actually got stuck on the PSX version and I want to play this one through to the end now that I have a new Action Replay. Anyone know the best place to go?

A walkthrough at Game F.A.Q.s.

Or you could just post your issues here. I'm a little too familiar with the game.

Yeah, I was kinda looking for a fan site with pictures and (decent) maps.

Hm.. I'm not sure if a site like that exists. There are sites like this one (http://www.castlevaniacrypt.com/games/sotn/home.htm), but I don't think they have dedicated, picture-assisted walkthroughs.

Here's a full size map of the castle though: http://faqsmedia.ign.com/faqs/image/mac ... tn_map.gif

Outside of that, you might want to invest in the official strategy guide.

You know what would be a cool project though? Mapping out the entire castle like Nintendo Power did back in the late '80s/early '90s. Taking loads of screen shots and stitching them together to form one large image of the entire game. That would be sweet.

I like the Nintendo Power idea. Maybe I should hook it up to a recorder while I'm playing.

I was thinking the same thing, but then I remembered that my capture card gives a slightly blurry image. Recording via emulation with a desktop recorder would yield a much sharper picture, great for translating to screenshots.

Ah, I forgot about that one. I remember visiting it quite a bit a couple of years ago. :)
