Error message when posting and sending pms

Can someone who is tech savvy tell me why pm's and (some) posts have this error pop up when I click send ... never seen it on the forum before ...

Seems a random error. I have seen it before too. I think the post goes through fine but maybe the email notice system is having a small hiccup.

I got the error when responding to a thread earlier, but my post still went through.
*edit: Just tried sending a PM--got the same error. Looks like it's still in the outbox though, so I'm guessing it still went through?

If it was the pm you sent me, I got it ok. Did you get duplicate copies of mine?
