Does anyone on the board read comic books at all? I recently went into a comic shop here in town just to kill some time and I walked out with some of the new Ninja Turtles comics and a couple of the Serenity/Firefly hardcovers and I've been really enjoying them. I stopped back in the store today to get a couple of back issues on the TMNT series and I walked out with new most recent issue of Kick-Ass and one called Dead or Alive which is a cowboy miniseries thing.
I then noticed besides the Dead or Alive comic, everything I've purchased recently has been related to something I'd seen previously in an other media format. Does anyone have any recommendations for an on-going series that isn't the traditional Marvel/DC super hero stuff?

the only comics i still have are Archie and Jugghead comics (one has 10 cents on the cover), a scrooge duck comic, a richie rich comic and a few others.
those were taken from my 5th grade classroom
oh and i have about 10 of those Heavy Metal comic books somewhere
last comic i bought must have been in the 80's and it cost 60 cents
