Gex sequels

Post by Trev » Mon May 30, 2011 12:01 am

I know they can't top the 2d goodness of the 3DO original, but what do people think of the follow-ups? I just traded some crap at the local hole in the wall used game shop, and included in my new acquisitions was Gex 64 (or Gex 2 whatever) I know it is said to not be as good as the Psx version, but I kinda like it. The thing is though ... it doesn't really feel like a Gex game. Well, it kinda does, but you can hardly stick to the walls anymore. Anyway, other opinions?

Gex 64... doesn't exist. I do not have "HAS ANYBODY SEEN FOX MULDER'S SISTER" stuck in my head.

Also, average 2D game becomes average 3D game. No net loss/gain.

To each his own I guess. I've never thought of the original Gex as average though.

Me neither I loved Gex. I despised all other platformers because they were obviously for kids, but Gex was aces.
