Does anyone here know reliable external HD Drives?
Absolute condition: Shelf Life for more than one year, when heavily loaded with selfmade rough cut data and raw video data, up to several TB.
Last year my Trekstor 640 GB was doomed, and all data on it. Today my WD 1 TB called it a day, with all Prague, Paris, 3DO M2, Rabbits videos and so on. I am not going crazy thanks to my girlfriend.
But I wrote few one star reviews on amazon.
Help!
Remember: More than one year!
Thanks!

If you can track down a Maxtor they work great. I've had several drives die on me in the past two years all different makes. And I have a Maxtor that is only 6GB that still works!
I currently keep Game data on a Western Digital as they generally have a good name now. But I will be buying another to keep a back-up of it. I think they are all making crappy HDDs now to try and get people to switch to solid state drives.

"Wait. You don't have a bag of charcoal in your gaming room???"
