Splatter House (new version)

Post by 3DOKid » Sun Dec 19, 2010 1:25 pm

Anyone given this a go?

The original was an evil treat for me. I used to feel so guilty playing this game. I don't actually remember it being any good mind, but in the same (coming from a religious household remember) way that looking at Iron Maiden album covers, the cover of Fighting Fantasy books and watching The Gate on Betamax made me feel I was sat with Satan himself, so did Splatterhouse.

Is the new version any good or is it big bag-o-cack?

I loved just about every bit of it, but it took some getting used to with a bit 'o memorization involved. I don't think the press particularly enjoyed it though.

I am kicking myself for not sending in my pre-order bonus code (The statue people have received is awesome, and I don't normally care for these bonuses).

The best thing about the original was smacking the undead against the wall with a stick. Despite everything, that seemed really well done.

Yeah, it has the original arcade game, then parts 2 and 3 from the Genesis.
