Change of job !

After 2 years of youth work and fearing burnout - I have returned to retail.
I am now the the retail manager of this little establishment:

Not much video games stuff - but nerd heaven none the less!

Wow, there's a real lack of shops like that in the UK, propper toys 8) I still have my steam engine from when I was a nipper.

Brilliant news - I'm glad things are on the right track for you. Sounds like the MattyG 'best christmas ever' in the making. :)

Christmas is usually hell in the retail sector..

Congrats, though, MattyG! I sometimes strangely wish I was back in retail myself. Once you sit at a desk for 8 hours a day, you start to miss being on your feet all the time and having varied days.

Congrats!

I've been in retail all my life. Strangely, I like it. Just got back to work myself after being unemployed the whole summer. I had a CRASH N BURN on my last job (55+ hours a week will do that). Im sure you'll like your job. Looks like they have a lot of cool stuff they are selling.

I've also been in retail most of my life (and am presently) I like dealing w/the public.
