This is rubbish. What a bleak, dismal, pointless, cackhanded game this is. It's just dross. Open Ended? Open arsed more like. What a waste of £11 this was. The graphics are rubbish too. Well, on the PS3 they are. The story is rubbish and bleak and down right miserable. You're moping around Africa with a gun and Malaria, being shot at by thugs, militia and corrupt government officials. And apparently, to be truly evil in this world, you have to be white, European and educated. So, I feel persecuted too. The introduction is far too long. The game has just irritated the hell out of me. I hate it. It's going on eBay. (All based on a whole 2 hours of game play.)

I went back to play Motorstorm Pacific Rim. Which, despite what you may think, is pretty ace.

The game doesn't get any better, either. The open-ended map really is just a ton of ravine roads.

Well how else were they going to funnel you past the same squad of eight enemies for the next 20 hours?

I think I prefered Kill Zone 2 to this. I really liked Kill Zone. What's Fallout like?

Fallout is an innovative way of preserving the VATS system attached to a really kind of poor-to-average shooter, but a lot better than that sounds. While it can get a bit samey (Bethesda's never been big in the "more than two character animations" department) I played all the way through the GOTY and can't wait to get New Vegas, so yeah. Thumbs up.

Plus those first steps out of the vault and into the wasteland are breathtaking.

You can't even beat the shit...at least I can't. Bugs always screw my progress up, basically making the game unwinnable.

I've never owned a video game that had more problems than Far Cry 2...it just plain sucks
