Las Vegas.
What is there to do (for a retro gamer like me) if you don't like gambling but do like america and old video games while you are in Las Vegas?

Damn I missed this - I could have shown you where all the good arcades and retro gaming stores are.
The Pinball Hall of Fame is awesome too, they have over 200 pinball machines set up and several classic arcade games as well. It's like a dream come true.
Yeah you should have timed it to when the Classic Gaming Expo was going on. I was a volunteer there from the day before the show, until the break down (since I live here it was no big deal). I also brought about 10 different consoles to set up for people to play (3DO included).
Maybe next time!

Yeah literally yards. The pinball hall of fame is only like a mile and a half away from the strip down Tropicana Avenue, and Sega's Gameworks arcade is *ON* the strip. Can't forget the HUGE arcade at the Circus Circus Resort and Casino.

One thing Vegas did for me was restore my faith in Miami Vice and it's portrayal of hookers. In my first flat, the flat opposite was a 'knocking-shop' and the women were big and ugly. Really big, really ugly. I was horrified, but their appearance didn't seem to have any affect on trade. Which shocked me. I mean for the money, surely these guys/customers (from every walk of life) could have gone to the local nightclub and chatted up a willing amateur, than these nasty pros. And they were nasty. Don Johnson was dead to me.
Anyway, the working ladies of Vegas are very different. They certainly take greater pride in their appearance, and they were certainly a lot prettier.

It's all going to depend on where you are, of course. I grew up in Tampa, which was so close to Miami that sometimes their stray bullets landed in our city, and what's neat about Tampa is that the great majority of large vice and crazies are actually confined to one street, Nebraska Avenue. The hookers there are quite ugly. Then again, I had an odd job chauffering an "escort" around... the job lasted all of a week, mind you, I felt really awful doing it and my car was a 81 Toyota Starlet, the only car that was factory built to have a cough... for my friend Carlo's escort service and they were quite beautiful ladies.
