Premise 1:
The EM-256 is basically just an external storage device, comparable to
a battery powered USB stick, with 256 kilobytes of memory.
Premise 2:
It needs a special driver to be mounted. The driver is content of the
Storage Manager program, bundled with the EM-256.
Conclusion:
With a little modification of the Storage Manager, not only
savegames but any kind of data could be saved onto the EM-256.
Question 1:
Would it technically be possible to boot programs from
the EM-256? And would this be a way to work around the encryption?
Question 1b:
Has anyone technical information about the Expansion port?
Parallel/serial, maximum data transfer rate?
