||Cyberwar |Sales Curve
I know it from PC and Mega CD. A hard game in my opinion. Too much FMV. It would have been better if Sales Curve would have implemented levels the Cyberwar or Cybertube levels of the SNES or Genesis "Lawnmowerman". But the game came with a big box, the OST and a nice booklet.
||The Lawnmowerman 2: |Sales Curve |
|| Jobe's War | Interactive |
As a fan of the 1st movie and a hater of the 2nd, I would like to know if there is any info about these games, maybe on other systems? I'm sad now. Even 3DOKid says the movie has a 3DO atmosphere!
||Shell Shock |Core Design
The tank game? I nearly completed it on the PSX. Would have been a great 3DO title! It wasn't so impressive when it comes to graphics, but simple and with a fast gameplay and wide 3D areas -> new feeling when it came out.

||Creature Shock |Virgin

|| Interactive Learning |
|| Cube |L3 Interactive

||Robinson's Requiem |ReadySoft

||The All New People's |
|| GameShow |Studio 3DO
Creature Shock & Robinson's Requiem were both released. Neither are great games, but they are available. There were also 2 of the interactive learning cube titles that made it out (Mathmagics & Slopestyle) Again nothing special but out there. Lastly, The All New Peoples Game Show got released as Zhandost, which is one of my favorite multiplayer games.

I liked Creature Shock. :)

Robinson's Requiem has cult following on the PC. When I slagged it off on my blog some people went into melt down!

I liked Creature Shock.
I could never get it to control well. The cursor moved sooo slow! Even when I knew where to shoot the enemy, by the time I lined up they would nail me and I'd have to start over. Are there any type of cheat codes?

you can add shredfest to that list!

and my usual favs - disruptor , madison high and orbatak!

Great list though pits! 8)

Lost Vikings is a very ironic title for game that never came out.

Lost Vikings 2 was one of many rumored M2 games in development from Interplay ... probably not though.

The ESRB database has some stuff (though I'm sure Army Men and High Heat Baseball 2000 are incorrect).

I think you can get rid of
Isis: Earth, Wind and Fire |Panasonic
in your list.

It sounds like a game that was released, i'll try to find a cover later

Shootout at old tucson was not released for the 3do,only on arcades for a few machines.
Isis was not released either... :(

Do you have any information about Isis ?
I often see it but the game is "mitsumata's four annos in pepperon" (or whatever the good title would be).

I mean, i already saw that isis game mentionned, but illustrated with a pic from that other title (mitsumata (...) has been released)

I'm talking about that game : http://www.3do.fr/?3do_suppr=223#ajout-jeu

If you have infos about Isis, i would appreciate then, i could get rid of that confusing feeling

heh :P

A few outstanding titles on that list. I also remember having Mortal Kombat pre-ordered.

I'll say it again, 3DO had the best library between the 32bit machines. I still can not believe Panasonic pulled the plug on M2. HD DVD is another technology that in my opinion is superior to the competition and was killed off prematurely.

It had an interesting library. I wouldn't say the best. What did it have was a very experimental library too. Things like immercenary, Hell, Power Kingdoms, Space Hulk, Wing Commander III were, in their own way, ground breaking.

Rayman|Ubi Soft
Nice game.
Thunderhawk|Core Design
Great game on SEGA CD, but i guess, they would do nothing more than add the FMV Stuff in higher resolutions.
Death Mask|Pixus/Electric
If this is the same game, released for the Amiga and Amiga CD32, it is not a shame it was never released. This game is terrible.
Doom II|Art Data Interactive
Would have been a nice collectors item, but nothing more. Doom for the 3DO is a sad conversion, even the SEGA 32X version have a better playability. Just the SNES version is more screwed.
I want to have the FMV-Scenes, planned for 3DO Doom.

History has shown you probably don't ;)

It would be sort of interesting but I imagine it would have been a lot like Dragons Lore for some reason :)

All i ever found, was 3 poor shots of this stuff. Even if the FMV may be poor, i really want that stuff. *sigh*

Even the original PC release was to have cutscenes, but they were dropped at some point. Seeing how bad the 3DO version is, I don't think some FMVs would have saved the game anyway.

I highly doubt that. I never heard of any plans for that, and i collect any little bit of information about Doom since ages.

Nothing could save this version, the pimped up soundtrack doesn't, and the FMVs wouldn't. After seeing Wolfenstein 3-D for the SNES, and Doom for the 3DO, i get a clue, why the id guys hated Bill Heineman so much, that they used a photo of him as a dart board.
But, anyway, i really would like to see those FMVs, just for fun. ;-)

Apparently, you didn't collect that hard, as that information is from the original design document, which is, at least one version, available for ages. ;) Back then, the cutscenes were dropped because it was planned from the outset that the game would have been offered as a download. That's why we never got to see the cinematic intro with speech.

Oh well, you mean the Doom Bilbe by Tom Hall. At least that was written before any bit of code was written, and many of this stuff was dropped before the real development begun. In fact, nobody liked Tom Halls Story-driven, pseudo-realistic design ideas. They dropped much more like that, in fact all that was the reason, why Tom Hall left id Software. He wanted to make a plot-driven game, all the other guys wanted to make an acton game.
And serious, they was right back then, what would have happened, when they do, what Tom Hall wanted can be seen in Doom 3. Boring. ;-)

You mean Rebecca Heineman.
