Corrupted save files

I've rarely encountered corrupted save files thankfully, but the other day was my first experience on 3DO. I went to load The Incredible Machine, but the game was stuck on one particular puzzle ... and no video either, just the audio on the main menu :?

Confused, I loaded up my Game Guru and axed the save file for the game. I than reloaded it and it played perfectly.

Anyway, just thought it was odd. I'm glad that it was for a puzzle game though, and not my save file for Wing III or something like that.

FZ1 ... I really do think it was just a fluke, but it sure was strange ...

Still, the Panasonic 3DO has proven to be one of the most reliable consoles I've ever had.

Certain 3DO games gave headaches to the NVRAM of the FZ-1. Panzer General, The Horde and a few others would corrupt their save files, or just the whole NVRAM. Crystal Dynamics released a new copy of The Horde as well as a corrected save file built by their demo disc, but most of the others just offered work arounds for the problems.
