FZ-1 Mode Switch - Function?

Hello,

what exactly does the Mode Switch on the backside of my japanese FZ-1 do? (early model, located between EXT and S-VHS) yes, it's connected to the PCB. currently it's set to B ... whatever that means.

hoping for some answers/thanks in advance,

That a-b switch is for the RF modulator, in case anyone is still using RF.

Oh yeah. I vaguely remember now my RF cable that came with a DC also had an A-B switch. Meh.

You know, I wanted to take a wild stab and guess it was an internal RF like the Atari used to have, but I didn't want to speak from a place where I had absolutely no knowledge.

That was a really forward-looking option, wasn't it? Sure, S-Vid and AV are nice, but the entertainment box of the future will also work on your 70s contraption with the exposed vacuum tubes.

Surely "plugging into the future" is the lie. Surely. I mean, they can't do that. I mean, what type of sockets does the future have for heavens sake?
