Sweet! I am amazed at how good the intro to Grand Chef looks! :o I have been interested in this title for a while. I love most any rpg that doesn't have a cliched story (Lucienes Quest was totally cliche, although I did enjoy it a great deal) There must be a walkthrough somewhere, no? Also, your blog review says this isn't that rare. I have never seen it! I would pay for an import, even with the language barrier.

There is no translation. Sadly. However, with a lot of wine, some clever talking and various promises, I may convince the wife to play it.

...but not before we've played Policenauts.

one more, me a a buddy would do this type of thing with NHL hockey on the Genesis

3DO John Madden - WARNING SWEARING (incase your at work) :)
Me and several other guys thought it would be funny to get drunk, play Madden (on 3DO - this was back in the day) and wire in mics to do our own announcing. This resulted in one of the ugliest plays in video football history. I still don't believe it.

Hey man, can you post some of the actual gameplay for that Formula 1 racer? That looked sweet as Hell. :D Groovy though man.

3DOKid, I should probably thank you for the F1GP video, as it's helped a little with my research on Opera House (the game's developer).

Why are you researching the developer? And if you need anything else, please do ask.

Why not? That's what we do at GDRI, dig up info on obscure contract developers. I'm especially proud of the work we've done with Opera House. You won't find more information about it anywhere else.

I'd really like the credits, but I certainly can't expect you to try beating the game (which, frankly, looks pretty crappy). Perhaps they're in video form and could be extracted from the disc...

You should edit the description and remove that part:
The M2 was only released in the FZ-35S Player and the FZ-21S console. The FZ-35S with some parts of real M2 in it, and the FZ-21S was the final kit.
It's simply wrong. There was also the FZ-55 and the Arcade system, and they are all complete/real M2's. One of the protos I've got runs fine on my rev. G card as well as on my FZ-35S.

What protos are you talking about??

Game protos, got two so far (one playable). Can't really say much more, as I'm not allowed to. The copyright is hold by a large company these days and the guy I got it from would kill me if I give any details before I've got his permission and sorted out the copyright issues...

Guardian War (power Kingdoms over here) is actually something of an acquired taste but Lucienne's Quest is pretty good, although a little light-weight. I've said it before I like 'em both.

Guardian Wars/Powers Kingdom really is a cool and trippy game once you have ingested/inhaled certain things...

Both games are sweet. Now all I have to do is find out where in the name of God my Guardian War went. I think I may have left it somewhere! :(

Guardian War was ok, just lacked that certain something to make it endeared to fans.

Luciennes Quest is ok, but seemed like it wanted to be more. I enjoyed it, but it felt like it should have been a lot longer than it was.

I love the graphics engine they used though. It was much like the old Shining Force games but with 3D graphics. The only thing it lacked there was a deeper storyline.

Guardian War is like a board game with sweet animations to me.

It's like any 'tactics' game - it's a tactical RPG as opposed to RPG so movement is limited in the battle field. (I sound like Snake from MGS?!)

I would like Guardian War a lot more if it had a better draw distance... But it feels so confined, and it's hard to tell where enemies really are. I was impressed by the Lucienne's Quest video. I think very few games on the 3DO used 3D correctly (with the limitations of the hardware in mind), and it looks like Lucienne's Quest is one that got it right.

One of the best 3D games will always be NFS. The draw distance is impressive. Luciennes Quest only draws a small area at a time, albeit, all of that small area.
