ZOOM Platform re-releasing 3DO titles...?
I got a link to this article via my Killing Time fan site.
Anyone ever hear of the ZOOM Platform? Is it legit? I've been chatting slightly with the person who emailed me, but its existence is news to me. I believe Heineman now holds the rights for Killing Time, and she was looking to put it up on Steam or something similar, last I heard. I'm curious if this is the result, or if it's something shady, though I tend to be paranoid by my very nature.

This Prism Entertainment apparently owns many of 3DO's old properties. The president used to be general counsel with 3DO.

So what are they doing exactly? Basically self-contained emulation?

I would assume this is the PC version (or is based on the PC version or whatever).

I did too, but the download page lists the release dates of the 3do and pc versions. There's no screenshots, so I dunno if it's just for the sake of being thorough, or if they offer both somehow.

Judging from this video it is the PC/Mac version of the game.

Hmmm, might still be kind of cool, especially if the 3DO versions of the games have control pad support. Some of the games would be cool to see running on a newer display with some tech support. If it's anything like any of the other Ala Cart services, it could be cool. Won't ever replace the real 3DO, but still a cool idea that could spark interest in the platform again...bring in some new fans.
This is a stick up! Put all of your 3DO games in the bag and nobody gets hurt!

Very cool, hopefully they bring it to Steam or GOG. I'll buy it.
