Trying to get in touch with 3do collector 'The Dreaming Eye'

Post by Archminion » Fri Feb 28, 2014 4:47 pm

Please can anyone help?

My name's Glenn and I collect various games for different systems.
I've been trying to get in touch with someone who used to post over at the Assemblergames forums and Atariage.
I'd really appreciate it if anyone knows how to contact 'The Dreaming Eye' please?

Or maybe you've had dealings with him in the past and have some contact details?

I'd like to see if he still has any of his 3do related prototypes still available for sale?

Here is the last post he made which had the item(s) I need:

http://www.assemblergames.com/forums/sh ... -cool-shit

Sorry for joining up just to ask for this help but I wasn't sure who to turn to...

Please give the noob a chance !! :)

Thank You

The link is to a 10 year old post that reads of trolling - I can't imagine you'll get help here (if indeed you are serious)

If you are legit, I welcome you to the forums and suggest you introduce yourself in the appropriate thread. If not ... well, let's just say some of my counterparts are of the ban first, ask questions second mentality.

Sorry but I am genuine and it is a very old thread I understand.
But as a 3do community I was hoping that someone in your fold might have some info on the whereabouts of this person?

I am a bit surprised that this would warrant a ban and even more surprised that I'm getting threatened with this already.

Don't get me wrong, I never said it would warrant a ban. It's just that an ancient post (of an already strange thread) is an unusual way to introduce yourself to the community ...

As for you Lemmi, you've been trouble for years. Good thing I don't how to actually do a banning.

these items are long gone. I assure you.

Debug 3DO's come up every once in a while. I've passed on quite a few.

Thanks for the closure.
I was after the Rise of the Robots proto.

Seriously.

As for me I'm 35. Got my own house and have collected different games for years.
Mainly the Twisted Metal series on Playstation.

The Rise of the Robots interest came from my childhood...

Just been trying to collect as many items as possible related to the games since even though most people hate them they do have a rich infamous history.

Just play Zero Divide 2 (PS1) or Zero Divide 3 (SAT)... the pair o' ye.

That should satisfy that need for some one on one cyborg fighting action! :P

Loved all 3 ZD's !

Very good gfx for the time as well...
Don't get me wrong I don't sit alone in my room playing Rise on a 3do (or one of the other 300 formats it appeared on).
It really is just a crazy collector...thing?

'syndrome' might be a good word for it I suppose?

But I am the new guy and just to make sure the mods and admins know I am on the level with this I do actually collect this stuff.

I have signed Brain May photos and a few other 'weird' items as well.

So I really am looking for a Rise 3do proto that was kicking around nearly a decade ago- I probably should have been way less vague in the original post.

There is a method to the madness as well as this is all for a massive Rise of the Robots related article that was actually started in 2010...

Btw thanks for making me welcome you guys.

I'm an admin at www.tmalliance.com and I've seen first hand how some noobs get scared off instantly under certain circumstances so I appreciate the warmth on this forum :)

I live in Sunderland, UK btw.

I think I forgot to add that before.
