I have some cardboard based long boxes that have seen better days. I have had a couple of idea's but...
- Scan them in. Patch them up in Photoshop. Print new ones on to cardboard. and hey presto.
- another way.
Anyone have any thoughts?

Some people say, for SNES and N64 cardboard boxes, that you can iron them and it will take out some of the wrinkles. I've seen before and after pics, and while it isn't a major change that will make them look brand new, the after pic seemed maybe 10% better.

Re: Rescuing Long Boxes
i do a little bit of restoration on these kind of boxes. I use it for all sorts of boxes.
-Mix a little water and elmer's glue. I do 50/50 for most applications.
-use paint brush to apply to frayed areas. try to get inbetween frayed areas.
-flatten box
-place wax paper around glued areas
-press flat with old textbooks and some weights.
Boom!, nice crispy corners
I sometimes use wood glue for thick cardboard like system boxes.

Re: Rescuing Long Boxes
I bought a A3 colour printer, with intention of seeing if i can scan the old box in, repair it via photoshop and then create a replica long box.
Wish me luck.
