Half-baked Sequel Ideas

Has anybody ever dreamed up half-baked sequels to 3DO titles? For example:

Blade Force 2:

Everyone's favorite helicopter-powered police officer takes to the skies yet again. Play in two player co-op mode with the strong-and-sassy female counterpart (with a pink suit). Beat the game to unlock the BladeBall minigame.

Crash n Burn 2, play as the black market cyborg.

I've dreamt of the sequel to Twisted ... fitting since the original game was already based on dreams apparently. I remember after beating it, the credits promised a sequel ... "Too Twisted" I believe it was. Who knows what, if any, work was done on it, but in my imagination it is a very innovative follow up. 8)

Wolfenstein 4D - B.J. travels forward in time and, misunderstanding the term "Cold War", starts gunning his way through Soviet installations. In Episode 2 he goes back in time to the French and Indian War, and in Episode 3 he goes forward again to find himself trapped in an underground bunker overrun with zombies.

Cant wait for the third episode! I like zombies..

Re-appraisal of my idea: Crash n Burn 2, play as the cyborg buying and selling dodgy items on the black market and illegally influencing the races while performing loansharking, unsavory debt collection practices and high stakes betting on the expected winners. AKA a strategy/commerce/crime simulation.

-I like that Wolf 4D idea, that's clever :)

Actually dark, your idea reminds me a little of the old Elite game for the Amiga. Or Privateer for the PC. sounds cool.

Am i allowed to assume it will be on the M2? Or potentially PlayStation 6?

Immercenary 2. Perfect Damnation.

Rather than killing the characters, you have track down their tormented souls, and save them. The conversations you had previously taking a larger role in the game. You're hampered by various temptations that distract the souls of the damned, and you have to kill these little demon things.

Virtual Cameraman 7

At my house.

Speaking of PS6, it will be a chip in your Sony TV i imagine.

Kid Soccer, you're a football kicking a kid around a platform world..

i actually LOL'd at that.

How about "Old man hunter" vs "Foes of Ali": Donald Trump, Alan Sugar, Rupert Murdoch slug it out? Better still, you get to hit Alan Sugar with Rupert Murdoch in 3d. Or vice verse obviously.

Cyberdillo 2. Where you actually get to win your money back for the first one?

Or, and i just thought of this: Snow Job 2, where you commit a crime, and you have to get away with it. A Point 'n click adventure, where you have to lead the investigator away from your trail? No? Reaching aren't I?

Definitely a Starfighter 2 or an official, similarly styled sequel to the original: Road Rash 2

That would be awesome.

I have a soft spot for Bladeforce, mostly because it clearly didn't take itself seriously. It would have been funny to see a follow-up, and what you mentioned would have worked perfectly.

Well I mean D2 right? Oh you want ideas that I make up on my own? OK Killing Time 2. I figure it would take place during the events leading up to all the people disappearing. You being one of the guests.

Because it does not have to be a sequel, I want the maker to release it as Japanese translation in "HELL"!

I'm really liking the "Kid Soccer" idea.

POed 2: the angry chef has taken yoga classes and evaluated the error of his ways through introspection. Therefore he is no longer POed, and we use a new title: "Remorseful".

If we do Immercenay 2, we can't go back to Perfect. It was destroyed! So we'll have to go back to another simulation: "Perfecter"? Personally I like "Adequate".

I wonder how well Hell would translate to Japanese. The story sometimes feels driven by its American setting.

At least I cannot understand it at all.

I can understand that Dennis Hopper appears.・・・

I'm all for killing time 2 as long as we either remove the flamethrower or make it less crappy.

Yep, Killing Time 2 , you're in a haunted South American hotel built with Nazi funds (yes there is at least one in Argentina) , unravelling the secrets of the Mayan calendar along the way , only to inadvertently start the end of days. I'd play that.

Seems pretty good to me! The Mayan idea is a good placeholder for all that Egyptian stuff in the first one. Any period piece weapons? Maybe hidden Nazi weapons?

What an interesting game!

The main character's hair sure looks like Cloud from Final Fantasy 7.

Personally, I believe this to be evidence enough to conclude that Square ripped off Oukoku No Grand Chef.

I've actually played Grand Chef a little. Cooking is involved somehow. The whole opening video takes place in a restaurant.

It's a fun game, even though I struggle to know exactly what's going on. I haven't gotten very far obviously, but I appreciate the game for it's apparent quirkiness and (for the time) very impressive visuals.

Yep, and even with the games that I can play in Japanese, I wish I understood what was going on. The ultimate example is Blue Seed on the Saturn - even without understanding the story at all, this is one of my favorite games of all time. I later watched the TV series it's based on, which is now one of my favorite TV series of all time, making it all the more maddening that I don't know what's happening with the characters in the game!
