How do you reach Alpine3 for example? I'm playing on intermediate and after section 2 it kicks me back to the main menu screen. Do I need to be on hardest difficulty?

Yes you do. The Alpine section is still one of the best stretches of racing in any game. There is an ice hack, that puts black ice on the roads, which should be part of the standard driving exam.
