Venues for 3DO reviews
I mentioned that I was planning to submit my review of Hell to the Video Game Critic. Well, it turns out that the site has discontinued all reviews from outside critics.
Can anyone suggest a good venue for reviews of 3DO games? I'm planning to write several, and while posting on the forums here is good and well, I'd like to have them somewhere where people other than hardcore 3DO devotees will read them. Y'know, spread a little of the 3DO love around. I considered Ebay, but I get the sense hardly anyone reads those reviews, and I'd prefer a place with some sort of editorial oversight.

Yeah, I should have mentioned... I love reading the reviews on GameFAQs, and have long wanted to contribute some of my own (and even a FAQ guide or two), but the amount of personal information they require for registration is well beyond what one should be giving out, and certainly well beyond what they have any good reason to ask for. I check back every year or so to see if they've converted to a less draconian sign up, but no change so far.

Well, they used to require your street address, phone number, and at least one other sensitive piece of information that I can't recall right now (might even have been Social Security Number). Checking it now, I see they must have recently eliminated all those, though I am still a bit put off that they require your date of birth for no reason. If no one has better suggestions, though, I'm willing to risk giving them my DOB.

Yeah, just put in fake information, although it is a very trusted site. I would love to see your reviews, link us the account, and feel free to re-post reviews from here if you have written them, no one will fault you!Martin III wrote:Heh, don't know why I didn't think of that. Here it is: http://www.gamefaqs.com/features/recognition/99176.html Only two reviews up so far, but I have a good start on a Wolfenstein 3DO review, and I'm hoping to whip up reviews for Icebreaker and Psychic Detective, which unbelievably don't have any on the site yet, not for the 3DO versions at least. It's about time I popped those two games in again anyway, so it shouldn't take me more than a month to get those up.
