I just snapped up the black disc/fixed version of Killing Time! Unfortunately it was disc-only, but I figured even for the $17 it was listed for, it was still worth it. Anyone have an extra case/instruction booklet laying around?

Yes, but even collector's still play their games. I don't know of anyone who collects games simply to store them.Austin wrote:To collect.
Of course, he may have meant it in the sense that, "I buy a lot, but don't have time to play any of it." That would be me right there, actually.
You are right about buying games and not having time to play them. I was updating my video game inventory, and was surprised to see how many games I own that I've never really played. Some just got played once or twice, a few never got played at all! Since I've had more free time lately (not to mention less money) I've been going through them. It's almost like having brand new games.

I suppose there are several reasons why I currently just collect games, the main two being lack of time to play the games and nowhere to set up my 3DO console in my house.
Nostalgia plays a big part too, but I do hope in time to be able to set up a permanent 'game' area at home where I can have everything out and easy to access.
My main plan in the shorter-term though is to build up a complete US/Europe 3DO games collection (although with the price of Dynopark Tycoon when it does come up on ebay it's unlikely!).

Finally got a set of these 6-Button Infrared Controllers. These are 'Fire' branded and on the base of each controller it says "Super UFO", anyone know any more about these? I can find info on Nakitek and Docs but not seen these out in the wild before. FUJISAN, are these the same as the ones you have in your Avatar image?
(The other detachable stick is sealed in one of the bags but didn't attach it as I didn't want to break the seal.)

Look at that crisp packaging! Looks like it just left the factory. Nice.3DOKid wrote:Japanese FZ-10

The controllers are VERY wide, almost too wide when you hold them. Also, they're very light and a bit too thin to feel substantial (if that makes sense) but I just had to have them in my collection!Austin wrote: I have seen these (and similar wired models as well) and have wondered the same. Generally controllers that look like this are very stiff. I'm curious if that's the case with these.
Looks so pristine! I expected to see a few scuffs or scratches (especially seeing how lit it is) but nothing. Whoever you got it from cared for it great. I can only assume it was part of a collection and never played. Nice for you.3DOKid wrote:Japanese FZ-10

Congrats on adding to your collectionAustin wrote:I just won a copy of Oyaji Hunter Mahjohng for a whopping $10.35 after shipping. Unused condoms and D's Diner: Director's Cut aside, this basically wraps up my WARP collection.
I don't own this one, but I have read about it. I've said it before and I'll say it again ... given the types of games they released, WARP is a fitting name for the company.

Got a GoldStar unit yesterday for $15, with a 6-button controller and a loose disc of Fatty Bear's Birthday Surprise (which brings my collection of 3DO original games to around 45). Fatty Bear seemed to run perfectly; I haven't tried any burned backups yet, but my expectations are low since it's a GoldStar. I'll probably play with it a bit and then find it a new home.
