So Wolfenstein 3D loads the entire level into RAM?

So Wolfenstein 3D loads the entire level into RAM?

I was playing Wolf 3D today and ejected the CD to play another game. I noticed that even without the CD you can still play the entire level that you are on with sound effects and all. The CD is only needed for the music once the level is loaded. Probably not too awful interesting for everybody here but I thought it was neat.

You can do this for quite a few parts of games.

Yes I know that, I just thought it was interesting the entire level plus all the sound effects still worked.
