Funny it seems I remember it being like the game with expansion levels. But anyone here can vouch that my memory is less than 100% :P Plus I tend to look back on the 3DO with rose colored glasses.

Nah.. I'm pretty sure the 3DO and Jag versions have far less levels than the original PC game. For instance, in the 3DO and Jag game, I'm pretty sure you are at the first boss by the third or fourth level. In the PC version, it's not until stage 6, 7 or 8 on the first episode. They do mix some Spear of Destiny levels in with the original Wolfenstein 3D stages though which will mix things up even more-so for anyone that didn't play that follow-up. I'm pretty sure I still have my Wolfenstein 3DO save file from last year and will have to boot it up again to verify..

Well I'm glad your memory is better than mine. I don't even think Wolf will play on this computer. Maybe when I piece together a '95 machine I can play again.

Wait a minute... I HAVE DOSBOX!!

Yep, exactly. DOSBOX!

I have Wolfenstein via Steam and they use DOSBOX on that one. I think it's five bucks and it comes with the full six-episode first game, as well as the Spear of Destiny follow-up. The SoD pack in it even has two extra episodes released seperately in the past that I've never seen before.. Needless to say, not a bad deal and that's how I play mine. :)

I've been wanting to build a 486 DX2 66 PC for at least 2 years now. Just so I can play Alone in the Dark on the PC. :)

I think I have the CD for Alone in the Dark... My Wolf 3D is on floppies in a box somewhere.

Hey Austin, you ever play that homebrew sequel to Spear of Destiny?

No, what's it called?

Oh yeah, for anyone that doesn't have it, the original AITD trilogy is on GOG.com for $6... :)
