Recenly, my old boss died from 17 years ago. He was the chap that brought me to Cambridge, gave me my first proper job. I was pretty much a clone of him work wise. I liked him, he taught me a lot, and gave me a great career.
It just got me thinking about the past 20 years since leaving home.
I decided too much clutter. Too much past? I wanted to focus on my work for a while, not because I needed too really, I wanted too. I actually enjoy my work more than gaming. I had consoles and systems I never used really. The 360 for instance was just a waste of money (for me) so was the others I ditched. I'm going to off load about 200 PS1 games soon too.
In my mind I have a mental list of 5,000 i need to do. Endless jumbled around in my head and went no where. I wanted to clean them out too. From writing a Will, to booking a dentist appointment, to building an SecureID Ace server, a ultimate H4k3r L33t computer, the ol' Blog, sorting the garage out, sorting out the ants, yadadada, and having 6 or 7 hundred games i never played just added to the list. My head was a mess. I just wanted to tidy up.
I did keep my N64 and played Resident Evil 4 and Paper Mario 2 again.
I also kept away from the Retrogamer (UK Mag) forum, it's very negative if you don't naturally agree with everyone's opinion (like me) and you can't keep your trap (mouth) shut (like me) prone to bouts of depression (like me)
I kept away from here because I potter about on here. Waste hours reading old posts and crap, and my old blog... wastes too much time.
So...
My home office is spotless I have a whiteboard I built a cracking PC and a spare one with the computer remains I have littered about. Wardrobe space, i have that now I read 5 or 6 books Coaxed the wife into driving my 911. Which she now loves. I went to Nice in France for a week. Spent some time on the phone to my pseudo-estranged parents. Just pro-actively did stuff, i needed to do
So, I'm back, and I want to play Novastorm and Starblade. The way god intended them to be played -- on the 3DO

Ha. Yeah he much be new.
Good for you Kid. Most would probably find it odd that a game hoarder like me would say something like that about getting rid of video games but you are doing what I should be doing. I've been getting some of my things in order, mostly just paperwork and finances but my home is still cluttered with junk. I'm happy for you, really. I do have to know however, what is a 911?

"Wait. You don't have a bag of charcoal in your gaming room???"
Haven't been here much myself lately. Taking a similar path, throwing myself into work and selling off a lot of excess gaming stuff. At a few crossroads in life myself - not sure where things are going. Pity I didn't know about your 32X though - one of the few systems I am keeping and getting hold of Pal games is near impossible. I've even sold a few of my 3do's too. Still boping for a day when a few of us may meet in real life for beer/coffee.
