Return Fire now on the... Saturn?

Post by Mobius » Fri Apr 20, 2007 5:20 am

I thought you guys might find this interesting. Apparently there was a completed but unreleased port of Return Fire to the Saturn. It has now been made publicly available and looks to be a pretty faithful port. I'd be interested to see if the frame rate is any higher... Anyway, I've downloaded this but will probably only play it if I decide to re-learn the Saturn swap trick.

I have a saturn but it's untouched by hacking hands. How do I get a CDR running on a saturn do I have to chip it or do just get one of those Datel cards (It has a different name in the states right?) and do it that way - is there a nice and easy bootdisk option...?

i think those Datel carts let you play imports, the swap trick is to get around the checking part the saturn does to see if its an original game

here is more info and some vids, everyone is saying it can mess up your saturns cd drive, so just a warning
i have 3 saturns but only one model1 saturn so i will play around with the model2 saturn to see if i can get mine to work

Has anyone had a chance to give the Saturn version a crack yet? If so, how does it compare to the beloved 3DO version?

The swap trick is very easy to do especially if you have a model 1 Saturn. A modchip did come out but only for the model 2 version. Google around for the swap trick.
