VCD Device

Hi guys,
here in Germany at eBay is from time to time a VCD device for sale.
The thing is that it's a device for the 3DO FZ-10 and I own a FZ-1 model.
I was wondering... Mechanically this FZ-10 device surely won't fit to
the FZ-1, but how about the pcb itself if taken out of the plastic shell?
Does the FZ-10's expansion port differ from the FZ-1's expansion port?
Would this technically work out?
