Nah he lost it.
Back in 2003 a friend of mine (or was that aquantance?) hired a Ferrari 360 cabrio for a spin round London, a snip at only £600 for the day. His money, not mine. My 10 minute stint behind the wheel was to the sound of:

We pulled up outside of Picadilly Circus, Central London, very lost, you see, I know london via tube lines not road, and what didn't help was me with a grin the cheshire cat would have found embarressing and within ear shot of the Japan Center. (Listening to loud cheesy Japanese music like this) Some very young Japanese girls thought we were cool, matching my stoooopid grin, tooth for tooth, and confused brain for confused brain no doubt, the rest of the planet thought, probably correctly, I was a twat.
I painted two long and probably pricey rubbery black lines all past the Japan center, then my mate got the arse, and he drove from then on.

He's written a short novel too called Dear Son that was released in Japan a few months ago that included an English translation. He hasn't stopped working on games though, he released a game back in 2009 on WiiWare with his new company fyto (From Yellow To Orange) called You Me And The Cubes.
