Does this game have many fans? Or can we all agree this is Crystal Dynamics worse 3DO release? I'd like to hear from both sides (if they exist)
(Sorry if this has been discussed in the past, but yet again the froum search engine does not work

)

I hate this hyper-hectic-shooting/driving-2d-pseudo3d-sprites-"game"
B movie FMV - totally early/mid90ies-flair - ok.
But hunting cars in canyons - full of bitmaps made me depressive.
The camera does not go with the "car" if you turn around - well,
that's just like in Need For Speed 1 - ok, but Off World is completely
off the track, it is pure chaos, not to forget the bad music. And the german
backcover is overloaded with mispelled text.
It's like waking up after a coma and watching the world with disco-caleidoscope-glasses infront of your eyes (while a orchester of
drug addicted chimps is playing Ludwig van backwards).
Off World Interceptor: 1/10
Better play Crashn Burn

That is an awesome description!

Can I quote you if I write a review for this game?

It was their second release here in the UK, after Total Eclipse. Total Eclipse was received with tepid reviews, but I think Off World Interceptor, in addition to being not very good, also did a fair bit of damage to the 3DO image.
It's only half-done.

It was just plain bland...

The idea of using the Total Eclipse engine as a racing one was solid - unfortunately the execution wasn't. Just too many collision detection and camera issues for my liking , however , with more likeable "characters" , bizarre looking vehicles and split screen it may have been great. Unfortunately we didn't get them and ended up with a mediocre game.
.......ah what could have been.

Not to mention that this game kicks my butt halfway to next Tuesday ... I swear, you need
crazy skills to beat this game! And in 1 session no less, thanks to no save feature!

I enjoyed the game for about 30 minutes. Then I got bored of it and never popped it in my 3do again. It belonged in an arcade sucking quarters, not on a $700 console at $50 retail. If Off-World Interceptor was a woman, she would be drop dead gorgeous, but she would bore you right out of the sack and back to "Rosy Palm and her Five Sisters".

I lol'd.
I don't think it actually looked that great.
Crash N' Burn is the better game. The FMV in Crash N Burn is pure gold as well.
