Another apology: Defcon 5.

You know that irritating message that constantly comes up when you start playing Defcon 5. Something like: "Make your way to the command center." And you have just one thought, which is: "WHERE IS THE DAMNED COMMAND CENTER?!?" well guess what? The answer to that was: In the manual. Unbelievable. The Command Center is accessible via a lift from Admin level 6.
Of cause, me being me, I stomped angrily around admin level 6 for ages wondering where the hell it was. Then the words 'accessible from a lift in admin level 6' struck me. ah - yes.
It's actually kind of weird but good at the same time.
It does seem to have some bugs mind you, like when you restore a game from a save the levels are populated by baddies that don't register on the radar and don't shoot at you. (Scared me sill when it happened first time!)

Should we expect a revised review forthcoming?

I think a fairer one is in order.
it's graphically quite impressive, it's not easy to understand mind you.

I got there accidentally on my first playthrough which was why I always thought your copy was bugged or something. I remember you kept mentioning just walking around and nothing ever happening.
According to a Saturn review I read, you have to do a whole bunch of crazy stuff to escape from the station. I died shortly after my turrets ran out of ammo. I doubt I'd ever get far.
One thing that's slightly bothering me is that you've been apologizing for your previous impressions of games quite a bit lately. I just hope you don't change your mind for games like Way of the Warrior and Primal Rage

I'm apologizing, I'm not having a lobotomy.

Well that really sucks for people who buy used games that don't always come with the manual.

Is there a way we could make manual copies available here on the forum? (For this, or any game)

ive scanned 44 manuals so far, and these arent the ones that you can find on replacement docs website (they have 45 manuals uploaded)
they arent perfect scans and if you want printable copies these will not be what your looking for (i think). many manuals i left out the blank pages and the legalize/user note pages at the end of the manuals
the big manuals are a pain in the ass to scan
if you want some examples i can upload a few for you guys to look at
here are the ones ive done so far

I think a manual replacement thread would be a good idea. Lets face it most people are getting their games off evil-bay (me included), trades & game lots and you don't get the manual in many cases, sometimes you only get the disc!

I see what's happening. Don't think I don't. Well, okay, I'll be in the corner. Probably crying. Alone.
