I've just ben reading Edge Magaine from 1995 and read something like:

"3do claim that the 3DO is out selling the Sega Saturn 4 to 1."

Ohhhhhhh-reallllly?

C'mon there must be others.

I've seen figures similar to that. The one that stands out in my mind was some sales figures from 1995. 3do and Saturn 250k, Playstation 500k units.

If I remember right, this was for a limited time shortly after the Saturn's suprise launch. After the early adopters plunked down for the Saturn it went through a dry spell. It's spotty launch games and high $399 price tag did not compare well w/3DO's deep library and recently reduced price ($299, but as low as $199 in many markets) High Profile games like Bladeforce were coming out and the M2 hype was at it's peak. By xmas that year though proper Saturn ports (VF2 for ex) were out and 3DO support was fading. For those couple months though ...

This newsletter was sent to developers early 1995 and takes a look at different milestones achieved in 1994. There are some interesting sales figures mentioned in the articles.

I'll keep digging through more paperwork. Lots of good stuff.
