To coincide with my recently installed avatar, I've published part one of my two-part Hell: A Cyberpunk Thriller fanfic. It's a story that I'm very proud to have written, so I'm not satisfied to just have it buried in Fanfiction.net's bloated "miscellaneous games" section (nearly half the fics published there are either not game fics or not fanfics at all); I've got to give it a shout-out here. Anyway, if you're interested in reading a little direct follow-up to the game's story, click here for "Night of the Resurrection". Reviews are welcomed; you don't need to have an FF.net account to leave them.
If folks here could link to some good 3DO fan fiction, that would also be appreciated. There are at least three Gex fics, but none look promising (one is little more than a copy-and-paste of the story section of the game's manual), and other than that, 3DO fan fiction seems almost non-existent.

This old thread is the closest I've ever come to doing 3DO fan fiction ...

It didn't go over very well.
Seriously though, I'm not aware of any 3DO fan fiction. I'm a little surprised about Gex ... not that it isn't popular but I didn't think the type of game lended itself that well to fiction. The point n' click/graphic adventures are good choices.

Well, first off, the concluding part of "Night of the Resurrection" is up! Check it out here.
Also, a major addendum to my search for 3DO fan fiction... I just realized that Fanfiction.net has a Star Control section with six stories, and just looking at the summaries, most if not all of them are for Star Control II. Not a bad haul!

That's the fan fiction world for you... If an intellectual property is popular enough, it will get plenty of fan fiction regardless of story potential. You wouldn't believe how many Sonic the Hedgehog fanfics are out there. Heck, even Minesweeper and Solitaire have a ton of fan fiction!Trev wrote:Seriously though, I'm not aware of any 3DO fan fiction. Yep, its existence is rather startling. I've been having a hard time finding the book, though!3DO Experience wrote:Oh Martin, did you know there is actually a novelization of the game?
Minesweeper & Solitaire fan fiction must be epic!Martin III wrote:That's the fan fiction world for you...
