Unusual Panasonic FZ1

Recently acquired an American 110volt Panasonic 3do with a switch on the back and a label saying encrypted/unencrypted as well as a label on the disk drawer saying...."3DO Testing Station Part Number-HW102TS-P" any info anybody might have would be appreciated as I havent been able to plug it in yet (wating for adaptor)and I have no idea of the machines history :?

It was used by game developers as a debugging machine. It can play both retail (encrypted) software as well as non-finalized (unencrypted) software.
