3DO, Jag, or both?

I've wondered this for a while ... I actually thought I posed the question in an older thread, but I couldn't find it. Anyway I own both consoles. I enjoy the 3DO more, but that isn't to say I'm not a Jag fan too. I enjoy it quite a bit also. :)

I have both, but you already knew that. Others might not know it though.

Both for me. I own both, and they almost complement one-another in a way. The 3DO has quite a few styles of games you can't find on the Jag, and it's the other way around with Atari's system. They are both good systems that I still enjoy today.

I agree, each fills voids in the others libraries.

I could happily give up owning allot of my other systems, but teh 3do and Jag are just very unique, they handle their games so well, its a shame they didn't have the same success nintendo and sega enjoyed back in the day

I agree, it is a shame they never managed to truly compete w/ the big N or Sega. Lots of things would have helped both systems ... better marketing for one.

Gotta do both. I owned a 3DO during it's lifetime, which is why i keep it now. But, you get a very similar experience with Playstation and Saturn.

Jaguar games are different than 3DO, and offer a different experience. It's a cart system which is always fun. It's quite easy to get all the CD's.

The last main bonus to the jaguar is the dev scene. I wish they produced more games, but it's definitely active...

I'm a bit late to the vote, but I was without a 3DO for over a year, and now have it again, so I'm visiting 3DO forums again. I voted both too, it's nice to see 70% for both. Though since the vote is in a subforum, I think the vote must be scewed toward both, it may be different if it was place in the main 3DO forum, or in a Jaguar main forum on a Jag oriented site.

Even though they were rivals in their heyday, to me they do compliment each other. I first got my 3DO in '96 when I saw the writing on the wall with the Jag's demise (of course at the time I didn't realize the 3DO also had one foot in the grave). I got it becuase it already had many of the titles I was anticipating for the Jaguar.

It may have been a shot-gun marriage, but that's what the Jag and 3DO are to me now, like a married couple. One can't be complete without the other. Between the two, the libraries are very complimentary.

It seems the forum software has trouble with rounding... 12 out of 17 votes rounded to the nearest unit is 71%, not 70%. (The mathematician has entered the building.)

Haven't had the pleasure, I'm afraid. You've reminded me to add that one to my Ebay watch list, though. I did enjoy Alge-Blaster Plus as a kid!

I have both. Got my jag at Christmas and my 3DO about a week ago. Love them both. Very much toys of my youth except I was a snes then playstation and n64 mainstreamer I wanted them both and would watch cybermorph and read about them in edge. Is cool to finally have them two decades later. Time does fly :P
