Say, for the sake of argument, that someone, not me obviously, a friend, had an Atari Jaguar ROM image. Of a game he intended to buy. [cough]Rayman[/cough]
And he wanted to play that game 'somehow'. How might he go about doing that? Theoretically of cause.
One word hints are fine.

He, erm, downloaded the sloppy PS version from PSN store for the princely sum of £3.99, but it's not the same.
This Jag game hasn't turned up on eBay for a while...

How is the PS version sloppy?

The Saturn, PS & Jag version are equally as good.. Little differences here and there, but not much.

				Get an emulator! Duh!
I hear Project Tempest and Virtual Jaguar are pretty decent. Don't know too much about Jaguar emulation.

There is a copy on Ebay for $20 right now...

As for getting to work on an emulator, there is a place that is working to make those kind of things work, which is the Free Emulation Project:

Come check it out.

Both Project Tempest and Virtual Jaguar run Rayman decently. However, I can't get audio out of either of them.

What are the differences? I have the Saturn version, but was thinking about getting the Jag version out of curiosity.

From what I've heard, the PS and Saturn versions use more parallax scrolling than the Jag version. Also there is a bit more detail / stuff happening in the graphics department. And of course CD audio is better than cart and the PS / Saturn soundtracks are quite different from the Jags. HOWEVER I have also heard Jag RayMan uses a larger color pallette than the PS / Saturn versions... All versions look to run extremely smoothly. I actually just bought the PS and Saturn versions myself and will have them shortly. Honestly though, I think all 3 versions are pretty darn equal. It's all the same game basically.
