Ballz: The Director's Cut

Close quarter attacks:
Repeatedly press A to win a Grapple. Keep the button pressed to get a special attack.
Push B when close to an opponent to grab him and get a special attack.
Escaping/Undizzy
Whenever your character is being held or is dizzy, press A rapidly to escape or recover.

Morphing:
Morphs may be done at any time during the match by any character. If your character is
hit during a morph move, it must be repeated. A chime will confirm correct entry of a
morph move.

Taunts:
In order to perform a taunt, press A + B + C. This will increase the damage of the next
attack as long as your character does not get hit first. Taunts are additive, and will award
the last player that completed a taunt move the bonus attacking power. The more taunts
completed in succession, the more damage given to the opponent.

Begging:
When low on life, press Down x3 rapidly to begin begging (restores life). The more times
Down is pressed, the more life is restored.
Attacks that do damage to both players/Tangles
Some special attacks cause damage to both players (e.g., explosions, and cyclone
attacks). , Some attacks when repeated too often can cause the player to become tangled
and helpless. If your character misses with one of these attacks, or becomes tangled, he
will be helpless until hit by the opponent.

Fatalities:
Fatality moves are available in the two player game. When your opponent's power bar is
critical, stand nearby and press Up, Up, Up. After your opponent shatters, press A, A, A,
A, A, A to execute the post-fatality move.

Boss hints:
Guggler (the ostrich)
Wait until its head is in the ground and taunt it multiple times. Then, successfully attack once to win.

Bounder (the kangaroo)
Jump in, punch several times, then jump away and repeat. His tail has a long range. If playing as Turbo, do repeated Super Blows until he is defeated.

T-Wrecks (the dinosaur)
If playing as Divine, use head attacks. Perform a jump and then aim so that Divine's shadow overlaps his. When your character lands, she should be riding on the back of his head doing damage. T-Wrecks roars before executing his ground stomp attack.

Lamprey (the blue genie)
He morphs into other creatures (a bull, scorpion, and snake), and will regain his health during his first morph. Since he does not have strong jumping moves, aerial attacks work well against him.

The Jester
Perform aerial attacks as Turbo or Kronk after taunting him.
Divine and Yoko combination:
While in a Grapple, have each player take turns pressing A (first Divine, then Yoko, then Divine, etc.).

including Shadow, without using any cash. Save your money and buy the best possible

This may take a few tries. After that, begin a run and concentrate on taking those objects
in each zone, then go after the boss character.

Use the M missiles for ranged attacks, and the S bombs for strafing runs when several
targets must be taken out at once. M missiles charge fast, and S bombs take out a large
area.

Do not use a fuel or health power-up unless it is needed. Note their location on the map
and return to use them as necessary.

The main gun uses a significant amount of fuel. Only fire it when necessary.

Hint: Subliminal messages:
Carefully watch the briefing to Level 2. Green pictures of the mission objectives will be
displayed. When the screen zooms in towards the elevator to the mine, static will appear.
The following phrase will quickly flash in the static: "MUST <static> BUY <static>
BATTLESPORT".

Hint: Audio messages:
Pause the game and allow the screen to dim. The chief will say various phrases (including
singing a line from Swing Low Sweet Chariots) to the player while the game remains
paused.

Casper

Defeating the Boss characters:
Fatso (in Bathtub): Camera
Fatso (in Kitchen): Hamburgers
Stinky: Perfume
Stretch: Glue
Stretch (in Graveyard): Use twister morph to lure him into a grave.
Fatso (as General): Use wind up key, then hammer the tanks.
Stinky (as Farmer): Use the hammer and chisel to carve the stone.

Corpse Killer

Extra Datura bullet:
Hold A and tap B to get one Datura bullet while the Shadow Man or any other strong
opponent is attacking. This will only occur when your character is out of Datura bullets
and the opponent is on the screen.

Item select:
Toggle between the Satlink screen and the Datapod Info location until items that are
needed (bullets, datura root, etc) appear on the map.

Crash 'n' Burn

Black Market Goods:
The black market cyborg will only appear (at random) and offer things that your
character can afford to buy.

Stealth Generator ($11,000)
Makes your car somewhat invisible, but the other drivers will still shoot your vehicle.
When the car takes enough damage it wears off.
Polarity Inverter ($10,000)
Blocks projectiles most of the time.
Targeting Computer ($9,000)
Helps in targeting enemy drivers faster and more accurately.
Doomsday Missile ($19,000)
Does awesome damage, but only one is given per reload. It will not blow up an
undamaged driver, but will seriously hurt him or her.
120mm Gauss Gun ($16,000)
Does heavy damage like the Vulcan cannon, but shoots much slower; 5 sec. reload,
ammo 1000.
Dragon Laser ($25,000)
Blows everything away with relative ease. If it does not blow everybody away on the first
lap, stop, wait and let the other racers lap your car (or catch up if your car is ahead) and
let them know who is boss.
Grim Reaper ($20,000)
A great car. Speed: 305 / Acc: Awesome / Armor: Fair
Backlash ($25,000)
The closest thing to the batmobile. Speed: 330 / Acc: Fair / Armor: Great
Dragon Car ($30,000)
Watch out track records. This cars really moves. This car is featured in the Crash 'n' Burn
intro getting blown off the track by Drugger. Speed: 355 / Acc: Good / Armor: Awesome
$2,000:
If a track is finished, but not with record time, your character may still get $2,000 if the
next track's record time is higher than the time just completed. Reset the game and your
character will receive the record time bonus. Example: on track 3 the record time is 1:04,
and your car finishes in 1:10. No record. But track 4's record time is 1:21, and your car's
track 3 time of 1:10 was below that. Reset and the game will enter the money screen after
track 3, but your character will receive the $2,000 record time bonus. Note that this trick
can work the other way, taking away your legitimate record time bonus if you reset on a
track with a lower time.

Unlimited continues:
This is simple; never continue. The game saves after every race automatically, so just
reset the machine (or hit pause and choose quit) whenever your car explodes. Just load
the saved game and keep racing.

Hint: Deathdrome message:
The message in the sideline of Deathdrome track 4 reads:

Once upon a time a genius, a spiritual overlord and a visionary racing criminal became
"sotally tober" and decided they would create a legend. Mark said, "Future shock on
wheels. Sex, drugs, and rock'n roll at 100MPH! And with more guns than the LAPD. It's
what America's all about!" Madeline raised the toast, "And make sure it is done before
September or we'll swing by our heels." And thus it was decided But they needed some
help. Little did they know that a hedgehog trainer named Bill would arrive in a few
weeks all set to kick some asphalt. "Don't tell me the odds," said Bill, "and I won't tell
you to get the hell out of my office. "Bill put the 'I' in Artificial Intelligence, and a little
A, too, just to keep me from going insane (again). Cyrus created a killer two million
dollar demo, and then put together the best art teams ever legally assembled.
"Programming doesn't have to be ugly," he said. "Programmers, maybe, but this thing
will shine when me and Steve get done with it." Steve shrugged. "Say what you like,
'cause I'm not listening." Steve listens to only Rocker, Twix, Druger and Klaw (NOT!).
"This thing will shine when me and Cyrus get done with it," says Steve. And so it began,
at first a train wreck waiting to happen. But later the prize of the show was winning the
blue bundle ribbon. Another Bill joined (you can never have to many Bills) and glued the
whole thing together with Steve after setting all the cars on fire. The other Bill says
mysteriously, "And wait until you see the other tunnels, too." As always, a few stunt
programmers were needed. Troy, feeling like Godot as he waited for OS (should have
been called the SOS) tried to make the Fat Lady sing, but when asked to play a tune, Troy
sez "Bite me!" and stumbles home to bed at 130MPH. In the end, both the ground and the
grunge behaved, and much sleep was had by all. A final thank-you to Frankie Goes to
Hollywood (just like 3DO) for their musical inspiration! "The Ballad of Crash 'N Burn"
was written by Jon "nakasete miyou" Horseley.

Creature Shock

Mission To Saturn:
The asteroids cannot be destroyed.

Shoot the targets which fire at your ship and ignore the passive objects. If a target gets
too close, avoid it and allow it to fly past.

The only vulnerable areas on the final target are the two light ovals that fire at your ship.
Target those areas while avoiding all other objects and incoming fire. Destroy the final
target to complete the mission.

Flightstick Pro control:
The manual briefly mentions "joystick calibration", but does not state that game is
Flightstick Pro compatible. The Flightstick Pro may be used during the arcade sequences.
During the Gunnery Chair sequence, the hat aims and the trigger fires the gun. During the
Transfighter Missions, the Flightstick Pro controls the cursor, and the trigger fires the
weapons. The remaining arcade sequences are controlled in a similar manner.

LSTNG#BTH displays the Listening Booth. Press Left or Right to select a song and P to play or pause.
CRDTS displays the Credits screen.
SCQRS displays the High Score screen.
GMWNNR displays the game winning scene.
GMQVR displays the game over scene.
Hint: Virtual sex bonus:
Complete the game with one million points in blood mode with medium or hard difficulty to view a Virtual Sex scene between Sylvester Stallone and Sandra Bullock. An easy way to accomplish this is to play the secret VRGN levels. To restore your health, pause the game and select a different level. To restore your health when fighting Wesley Snipes in the final level, pause the game and reselect that level. After one million points are accumulated, pause and enter the code for the game winning scene. After being congratulated by Sylvester Stallone, Sandra Bullock will ask if you want to have sex. Answer "yes" for the Virtual Sex scene and the sequence will begin. Perform the sequence four times when asked "you want to do it again?" and Sandra Bullock will respond, "You are a savage man, John Spartan!".

Hint: Shooting Gallery 1:
Shoot barrels and boxes for health, bonus life, and machine gun power-ups. Any box or barrel that explodes can be shot at multiple times to increase the hit bonus without sacrificing the accuracy rating. Try to shoot enemies on the first shot for extra points for shooting accuracy. Hitting something that is not killable or explodable are considered misses for the purposes of bonus and accuracy calculation. When on a gallery with grenade launchers, find and kill them quickly. They inflict the most damage. Use the machine gun on the enemy bosses when possible. Reload the gun during pauses in the action.

Hint: Shooting Gallery 2:
The man throwing grenades from behind the barrel can be killed by shooting at the barrel until it explodes.

Hint: Shooting Gallery 3:
In this section, after all of the opponents are dead, a helicopter lifts off to shoot at Stallone. Shoot the helicopter before the end of the stage, while your opponents are still attacking. Shoot the engine several times and the helicopter will blow up.

Hint: The Museum:
Shoot any stationary object that beings moving when Phoenix approaches. Some of these items may move once and are not easily noticeable.

Hint: Museum Shooting Gallery 1:
Shoot display Phoenix is hiding behind; then blow up the robot tank; finally, shoot the bomb that is hanging from the plane.

Hint: Museum Shooting Gallery 2:
Shoot the electrical box that Phoenix hides behind (the light fixture will gradually lower above Phoenix). Then, shoot the light fixture and it will fall on Phoenix.

Hint: Maze Chase:
Stallone does not have to follow Snipes in the tunnel levels. Just free the cryoprisoners and get to the exit. If Snipes is followed, he will eventually take a path to the exit, but it can be reached without him. The easiest way to do this is to follow the objects. When an intersection is reached, look down each hallway. The one with the object is the correct hallway to take.

Hint: Car Chase:
During the car chase, get to Snipes' car with enough fuel to kill him during the fight scene. This is done by running over the "FUEL AHEAD" signs on the road. If fuel runs out during the fight scene, Stallone will lose a life. The bonus for running over the "50 MPH" signs on the road increases with each collected. Running over the "BE WELL" signs on the road repairs damage to the car.

Hint: Fighting:
To win, block often. Each attack does a certain amount of damage. When a block is successful, Stallone will always do the correct counter attack which does double damage. This is also true for Snipes, so when the difficulty is set on "hard" he mostly blocks. To get him to swing, fake an attack by pushing the block button immediately after an attack is launched. Use different moves and combinations; Snipes will counter effectively if the same move is repeated.

Flying Nightmares

Cheat mode:
Save a game under the name BRICK#MODE. Load this game, start a mission, and press LS + RS while on the carrier. The Harrier will be invincible in this mode, and can be flown anywhere. The only item on the aircraft that can be damaged is the HUD, which may disappear. Additionally, the cheat allows a total of 255 Harriers to be available for multiple ejections.

Hint: Taking off:
Always let your wingman take off first in order to avoid a collision. It is best to be at zero throttle when starting on the carrier deck. Turn off the wheel brakes, then hit full throttle. After pulling up from the flight deck, reduce drag by retracting the landing gear.

Hint: Flying:
Dive to increase speed and climb to decrease speed.
Once proficiency is achieved with the nozzle jet control, the Harrier may be stopped quickly in mid-air and hover.
Do not attempt drastic turns at a low attitude.
Do not reduce the throttle to below 75% in order to have power available for evasive maneuvers.
Use the Auto Pilot if the aircraft is out of control or has trouble flying.
Keep watching the plane's radar system for valuable information.
Always eject before crashing.

Hint: Combat:
An AWACS plane will notify you of enemy bogies in the area. In the center of the cockpit, below the HUD display is a black box. During combat, a phrase such as "10 OC H" may appear here. This is an AWACS warning that indicates that an enemy aircraft is approaching from "10 O'Clock High".
Enemy aircraft are hard to spot at combat speeds. Select the AIM9 missile before the enemy is engaged. While searching for other aircraft, the missile will make a humming sound when it locates the enemy. Fire the missile when a red circle appears in the HUD.
Experiment with weapon payloads on targets. The Hydra rocket is the best overall weapon to stock.
SAM sites that appear in later missions can be deadly. Minimize their threat by first attacking with a set of HARM missiles to destroy the SAMs. Then, follow-up with a second attack using Mavericks and Hydras. When attacking SAM sites in Fast Mode, the chance of enemy SAM missiles hitting your aircraft is reduced by approximately 75%; however, enemy Sidewinder missiles will still pose a serious threat.
Make use of the terrain when attacking targets. Mountains will shield your aircraft from enemy radar.
Your aircraft can easily be attacked by five enemy aircraft on any mission. Use the AIM9 missile to counter this threat.
The enemy C130 aircraft must be acquired visually and will not present a AIM9 lock. Use the cannon to bring it down.
Use caution when landing on Auto Pilot. Enemy aircraft will often follow your plane and attempt to shoot it down as it lands. If enemy aircraft are spotted trailing your aircraft, circle your fleet a few times and let the Navy gunners take out the enemy.

Foes Of Ali

Cheat mode:
Press P during a fight to display the in-fight menu. The, press LS + RS + C to display the cheat menu where the following codes may be entered.

Development team picture
Enter TEAM to display a picture of the game's designers.
Hidden fighter picture
Enter PREBEG to display a picture of Ivan Prebeg, European Middle-Heavyweight Champ (June 29, 1969) and uncle of Foes Of Ali programmer Misho Katulic.
Remove crowd
Enter CROWD to remove the crowd from the background, except for their sound and camera flashes. Gameplay will also be slightly sped up.
Increase frames per second
Enter ZIPPY to remove the fifteen frames per second limit. When used in conjunction with the "Remove crowd" code, it will increase the framerate by two to five frames per second depending on the view. Another valid cheat code, HYPER, appears to have the same effect.
Turn off CPU or player artificial intelligence
Enter AIAT or AIBT to toggle on or off the AI for either boxer. The corresponding boxer will be motionless while AI is turned off.
Increment fight clock
Enter STEP to toggle on or off a mode which freezes the display while allowing the fight clock to run. Note that the boxers' shadows will still fight if the appropriate buttons are pressed.
Special cheat functions
Enter PADC to activate the buttons on controller three for special cheat functions.
Press A to knock down Boxer B for six seconds.
Press B to cut the right eye of Boxer A. The referee will stop the fight if this is done three times.
Press C to end the current round and immediately advance to round 10.
Hint: Determining when your opponent is hit:
The sound of a glove being blocked and the sound of a glove scoring a hit are different. Watch the graphics for sweat or blood flying. The boxer will recoil as well, but this may not be noticeable depending on the current view. The Custom and TrackCam High views are good choices to avoid this problem.

Hint: Completing punches:
When throwing any of the slower punches, hold down the button until the punch completes. Releasing the button early will result in a fake punch. Note that the punch timing must be altered as your boxer becomes fatigued. The best way to make sure a punch finishes is practice the timing with one boxer. If your boxer recoils by getting hit during a punch, the punch probably will not finish.

Hint: Fighting dirty:
You can fight "dirty" by throwing low blows. This is done by pressing Down/Toward + A or B. The crowd may voice its disapproval. The referee will warn you and/or give you a penalty point.

Hint: Fighting tips:
The best fighting range is at arm's length. Do not get as close to the fighter as possible and pound away; your hits will be ineffective and will waste energy. Close punches (except for uppercuts and clinches) do not have an effective momentum. The optimal punch range can be found by taking as step back from the closest position.
Move as much as possible. Chase your opponent and try to corner him. When he is in the corner, pound him mercilessly at arm's length.
If low on energy, avoid your opponent. If you become knocked down, run around while avoiding punches and fight defensively until the round ends. Your energy will be recovered in the next round and will allow you to go back on the offensive.
Learn to use defense, and try to anticipate the punches. If your opponent did not throw a punch for a second or two, duck!
As your opponent tires out he will drop his guard more often; take advantage of this situation. Also, watch for your opponent to "fidget" (pull up their shorts, wipe their noses), when they are out of range. With care, you can jump your opponent while he is fidgeting and lay one on him.
Avoid being punched until after getting warmed up in the first round to prevent a knock out.

Immercenary

Cheat mode:
Press RS(2), LS, A, C, B, Right, Left, LS during game play. Hold X to enter cheat mode. A open door icon will appear in the top left corner of the screen to confirm correct code entry. While continuing to hold X, enter one of the following codes:

Increase Defense
Hold X and press A.
Increase Offense
Hold X and press B.
Increase Agility
Hold X and press C.
Invincibility
Hold X and press LS to toggle invincibility on and off. A red shield with an S will appear in the top left corner to indicate invincibility.
Increase rank
Hold X and press RS to advance in rank.
Hint: Multiple switchyas:
Go the to the lake next to Silva's location with at least one Switchya in the inventory. From the east side of the lake, go towards the fountain and shoot a Switchya towards the plume of the fountain. It should rebound back without being used and increase the total number of Switchyas available by one.

Hint: Quick start:
When first starting, find a DOAsys spire. Once there, rest, then go out and save the game in one of the nearby blue spires . To increase power, crash Goners and Huffman them. The Goners are color-coded: yellow increases Defense more than others, red Offense, green Agility, and gray all three equally.

At first, only go for short forays outside the DOAsys. Go out, Huffman a few Rithms, and return. Once your character powerful enough, travel farther and explore.

The next priority is to get power-ups. The two most useful power-ups in the game are the Boomerang and Nukeya. Only fire the Boomerang when it is locked on a Rithm, since its shots can deplete the Offense level rather quickly. Pick a target at a distance, then let go several boomerang shots after it is locked.

Hint: Stopping quickly:
Press RS + LS for a quick stop.

Hint: Sidestepping:
Sidestepping is useful only to evade shots, and not as a movement option. Your character will not actually sidestep until you release LS or RS (one push is one step left or right).

Hint: Finding crashed Rithms:
If your TV is stereo/surround, listen to sound effects in 3D. This is especially useful when looking for a nearby crashed Rithm to Huffman, or for exploding enemy fire to determine where they are coming from.

If a crashed Rithm can not be seen no matter how much your character turns, step back. It was probably right beside your character.

Hint: Finding spires:
Look at the sky. The spires go all the way up and can be seen at a distance.

Hint: Rithm strategies:
Do not try to lock on to Picassos. Weapons will lose their lock when they turn edge-on . Just follow them at a medium pace, leading your character's shots (that is, fire at where the Picasso will be when the shot gets there).

If there is a Tork around, there will probably be others.

Venuses always travel in pairs.

Hint: Defeating Bosses:
Do not kill Chance until all the lower bosses have been killed. Most of the bosses can be killed with Nukeya, or by standing in the healing spire and blasting away at them.

IMSA Racing

When selecting the training course "The Skidpad" drive to the garage / house, where you can change your car, body, engine, tires, spoilers.

Then, drive right and go behind the house. There is a wall with a screenshot of small spaceships on it. When you drive towards it, a small easter egg will appear: A 2D horizontal shooting game with the MAZDA car as a fighter jet. You have 3 lives.

Kakinoki Shogi

Rules:
Shogi is basically the Japanese version of chess, and the modern form was developed in
the sixteenth century. It is played on a 9x9 square board, and each player starts with 20
pieces: 1 King, 2 Gold Generals, 2 Silver Generals, 2 Horses (Knights), 2 Incense
Chariots, 1 Diagonal Mover (Bishop), 1 Flying Chariot (Rook), and 9 Foot Soldiers
(Pawns). The pieces look like flattened obelisks pointing toward the enemy, with their
names written on them in Japanese characters. Many pieces' moves are somewhat similar
to chess, but there are several differences. Golds move like a King, but not diagonally
backward. Silvers move into one of the forward three squares or two diagonally
backward ones. Incense Chariots move like Rooks, but only straight forward. Knights
move as in chess, but only to one of the two possible forward squares. Pawns move and
capture one square directly ahead.

There are two additional rules not found in chess. The first is promotion, which is
indicated by flipping a piece over. Pawns, Incense Chariots, Knights, and Silvers can be
promoted to Golds any time they enter, move in, or leave enemy territory (the back three
ranks). Bishops and Rooks can also be promoted, and gain the ability to move one square
in the directions they normally can not (orthagonally for Bishops, diagonally for Rooks).
The other rule is that you own the enemy pieces that you capture and can put them back
in the game to fight for you. Instead of making a normal move, you can drop a captured
piece on the board. Pieces drop unpromoted. Pawns, Knights, and Incense Chariots
cannot be dropped toward the back of the board where they could not make any further
moves. Also, you cannot drop a Pawn on a file that has another of your unpromoted
Pawns on it, and you cannot drop a Pawn to give checkmate.

Kakinoki Shogi needs 16% of your SRAM (~5K) to save configuration and game
information. If you do not have enough free upon first loading the game, you will have an
opportunity to use the built-in (Japanese) memory manager. If you ever want or need to
delete the file, its name is ASCII_KAKINOKIJ.

Main Menu/Command Translation You may follow this link or right click and save as.

Miminaga will "play possum" when his HP reaches a low level. He will still be able to attack even though he looks helpless. Enemies will not target him with attacks when he is in this condition.
Kaneyung has the ability to poison opponents when they are hit. He also may leap over an obstacle directly in front of an opponent in order to strike.
Once a golem is created, it will not disappear from the party even if brought to 0 HP. Cast the golem spell again to return it to full HP.

Mad Dog McCree

Quick continue:
If your character gets shot, quickly press P before the Mortician appears. Choose "Continue" and the game will resume from where your opponent began to shoot, rather than the beginning of that scene.

Mad Dog 2: The Lost Gold

Easy random targets:
Some scenes present opponents that will appear in random locations. At times, some of these gunmen must be shot immediately. Using a standard controller and a GameGun, press P to immediately pause the game when a target appears. Aim the GameGun at the gunman and continuously shoot as P is pressed again to resume the game.

Mazer

Super shield:
Press C, A, B, A, B during the level preview (while the energizer beams in and before the player is beamed into the level). One SuperShield will be added to inventory. This code may not be enabled during a bonus round.

Triple attack:
Press B, A, C(2), B, A during the level preview (while the energizer beams in and before the player is beamed into the level). Thirty rounds of Triple Attack power will be added. This code may not be enabled during a bonus round.

Rapid fire:
Press B, C, A, C, A, C during the level preview (while the energizer beams in and before the player is beamed into the level). The player will receive thirty rounds of Rapid Fire power. This code may not be enabled during a bonus round.

Ultra power-up:
Press A, C(2), A, B(2) during the level preview (while the energizer beams in and before the player is beamed into the level). This code gives the player a full power-up on all normal abilities except for Turbo, which is doubled. Every time the player picks up any power-up, double Turbo will be regained until the round ends or the player is killed. This code may not be enabled during a bonus round.

Blood feud:
Press A(2), C, A, B during the level preview in a two player game (while the energizer beams in and before the player is beamed into the level) The words "Blood Feud" will appear to confirm correct code entry. No additional drones are launched after the initial three for the preview, and the boss is never launched. The last player alive wins the match and gets the points for the "Boss Kill" for a normal level. Each round lasts forty-five seconds. If time runs out, both players will lose a life. A new round begins each time a player is killed until one of the players has no lives left. This code may not be enabled during a bonus round.

Play as the boss:
Press C, B(2), A(2), C on controller two during the level preview of a single player game (while the energizer beams in and before the player is beamed into the level). The words "P2 Be The Boss" will appear to confirm correct code entry. In a level with drones, the non-active player controls a single drone as if it were a player character. The controlled drone is very bright compared to the other drones. Control switches to a new drone if it dies or if the non-active player presses the C. When the boss is launched, the non-active player is in control of it. Note that turbo can be used but it slowly eats away at the Boss' hit points. This code may not be enabled during a bonus round.

Game settings:
Press LS + C during the demo loop to access the game settings (difficulty and blood), as well as game credits and hardware tests for the D-Pads.

Hint: Attacking Bosses:
Hold Turbo when attacking to knock the Boss back when using a missile attack. All attacks do double damage when holding Turbo. Press Shield + Turbo to produce a "turbo shield" that blasts all creatures in the immediate vicinity.

Hint: Turbo charge:
The most effective attack is the "turbo charge", which is accomplished by Turbo running at your opponent and hitting attack just outside of close attack range. This will knock both boss and human targets further across the screen than a regular close attack, as well as doing massive damage.

Hint: Better views in mazes:
To get a better view in one of the maze levels, Turbo jump (press Turbo + Jump at the same time). This will zoom out the screen and provide and overview of the maze. While in the maze bonus round, any health turbo, or shield energy that is lost is returned at the end of the round.

Level hints:

The Sand
Lure your character's opponents into the mines to damage or destroy them.
The Reactor
Jump into the water and shoot at the boss. Your character can not be hit as easily when in the water. Note that damage will slowly accrue from the water. The missiles can be jumped over using a regular jump.
The Volcano
Once the floater drones start strafing your character, they can not change direction for a while. The boss will not walk through the fire that appears when a player stands too long on one of the rock "patches".
The Cyborgs
Destroy the cannons in the walls for extra power-ups (SuperShield, RapidFire, and TriAttack). This can be accomplished by running into them with the shield. Save all of the humans as quickly as possible, otherwise their stasis capsules will turn red and they will become "super" cyborgs that run at turbo speed and can knock down the player.
The Showdown
Jump on the second level and hide behind the energizer while shooting it. Doing this will allow your character to avoid fighting the floater drones (which are very tough to defeat on this level) while attempting to destroy the energizer. The Semag boss is most easily defeated by forcing him against a wall and continually hammering him with a close attack.

Rise of the Robots

The programmers thought that if block was 100% effective, the computer
could (with its superior reflexes) block every single attack you did,
and therefore defaet you easily. Thus, block is 100% effective on the
HARD level. However, the computer doesn't block every attack, so with
it at that setting, the advantage is on the human's side. On BEGINNER
level, attacks that are blocked still cause damage, so the robot can keep
pounding you.

Summary: HARD is easiest and BEGINNER is hardest.

Set it to HARD level and practice blocking. We've found a simple strategy
that works pretty well is to:

Crouch, block, & hold attack (to build power). When the robot bounces off
of you, do a foot sweep.

Builder: Make sure your power builds up all the way before you strike the
builder.

Crusher: Do a lot of jumping straight-up, with a lot of kicks straight
outward while in the air.

Temporary invincibility:
away, away, away, away, attack

Temporary invisibility:
up, up, up, up, attack

Temporarily reverse your opponent's controls:
forward, forward, forward, forward, attack

Temporarily increase your attacks' damage:
down, down, down, down, attack

To be able to play Military vs. Military:
At the main screen (with the ONE PLAYER, etc. on-screen), press the left
and right arrow keys sequentially, i.e., LEFT, RIGHT, LEFT, RIGHT, until
the screen flashes. You'll be able to play Mil vs. Mil.

To be able to fight the Supervisor:
At the main screen, press two lefts then two rights alternately, i.e.
LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, LEFT, LEFT, RIGHT, RIGHT, until the screen
flashes. You'll be able to play player vs. player with player 2 as the
Supervisor, or you can go to Training and play with the computer as the
Supervisor.

Supervisor's moves: down-toward-up: praying mantis down-away-up: melt & heal

Road Rash

Walk around:
Brake until your speed is 0 MPH. Press LS + RS, Up. Your character will dismount from the motorcycle, and can explore the scenery.

Change volume during FMV and menus:
Press LS to decrease and RS to increase the volume of the music.

Hint: Clowns:
On the Peninsula track in level three or higher are two businessmen with odd shaped clown faces, large blue shoes, and peculiar objects in hand. They can be found at the 6.5 - 6.6 mile point walking back and forth on the road. If you punch or hit them, their pants will fall to their ankles, and they will be left wearing only red and white boxer shorts

Hint: Cows:
Special cows are present on the Peninsula track on the other side of the right side guard rail near the clowns. If you punch or hit them, they will put up their hoofs to shield their eyes, while standing on two legs.

Hint: Dirt road:
Go right on the first fork in road of the Napa Valley track, located at the 1.9 mile point.

Hint: Floating tree:
Play the Pacific Highway track in level four or five to see the floating tree at the 8.7 mile point.

Robinson's Requiem

Cheat mode:
Press X + B + C at the options menu that appears before game play begins The phrase "Cheat mode on" will appear at the bottom of the screen to confirm correct code entry. Selectable objects and locations such as entrances, enemies, food, etc. will be highlighted on the map. Trepliev may be moved instantly from one location to the next while on the map screen. All items, weapons, and clothing will be available, with unlimited ammunition for the more powerful weapons.

To play the game without the full set of cheats, begin and save a new game with cheat mode disabled. Restart the game by using the cyanide capsule. Enable cheat mode and load the previously saved game. This will enable the teleportation and marked map options but keep the items originally present in their normal numbers.

Sailor Moon

Super Sailor Moon:
Highlight Sailor Moon at the versus mode character selection screen and press LS + RS + X.

Samurai Shodown

Player two color change:
Press RS + C.

Stage select:
Play a game, lose, and do not continue. Go to the main menu, select the resume option, and press Left, X, Down, Up, Right, Left, Up, X. Highlight the "Players Name" option and use LS or RS to select the stage. Note: All Samurai Shodown save games must be deleted to turn off the stage select option. Three lines of text will appear at the bottom of the screen:

"Level Select Enabled" confirms that the Stage Select code was entered properly.
"Debug Pattern Codes Enabled" explains the numbers that are displayed at the top of the screen.
"Zap and Exerciser Enabled" allows special game functions. Zap allows you to drain all of an opponent's power by holding LS + RS. It will not kill your opponent. Instead, your character must deliver the fatal blow with any attack (even if it is blocked).
Same color opponent:
Start the one-player game, then join in with player two and pick the player the computer was using. Kill player one. Do not continue and your character will start with the one-player game again. Join in with controller one, and again pick the same character the computer was using. Kill player two. When the next one player game starts, your character will be the same character and color as the computer.

Scramble Cobra

Secret mission:
After all ten standard missions are completed, the game credits will appear. After the credits, a new mission (Burning Cobra) will appear on the mission map. The introduction to the mission includes video from Burning Soldier, another game by Pack-In Video. The mission objective is to locate and destroy the large animated creature. Enemies in this mission are objects and spacecraft from the game Burning Soldier.

General hints:

Fire missiles as they obtain a lock. Try to get groupings of three for multi-missile lock. It takes too long to lock on to more than three.
Use the Vulcan for anti-missile fire. Use the Vulcan in short bursts, swinging back and forth across the approaching missile to destroy it. Use the missile warning display to determine the directions that the missiles are appoaching.
Napalm is best for the ground-based mission objectives. A single napalm hit will take out the equivalent of three to five missiles.
Protect the supply truck at all costs.
Re-arm immediately whenever there is any kind of break in the action
Press X to remove the Commander off the radar screen as the mission starts to see where the enemy is.

Mission hints:

Mission Three:
Choose one city area to defend and stick with it. Keep the supply truck alive and use missiles to take out all targets. If given the chance, Tightly grouped tanks can be hit with napalm.
Mission Four:
This is a rough mission. The enemy jets will come to the Cobra. Wait for them near the supply truck. When the three-minute notice appears, pursue the two planes. Two missiles are needed to destroy each plane.
Mission Five:
Take out the four ground units and approach the carrier. Destroy it and there will be fewer jets to fight. Return and defend the base. Remain above the supply truck and spin around. Use the corners of the radar to see the direction that the enemy is approaching. Let them close in, then destroy them.
Mission Nine:
Proceed to the target building and ignore all other enemy objects. Jink left and right to avoid the missiles that will be fired at the Cobra. After destroying the building, a secondary objective must be met. Use the green indicators on the compass to locate the target, which will not appear on radar.
Mission Ten:
Fly quickly to the prison building and while ignoring enemy vehicles and aircraft and avoiding their missiles. Hove over the prison and use your missiles to remove any immediate threat. After the "completed" display appears, fly in any direction to cross the border and complete the mission.

Seal Of The Pharoah

Hints:
Do not use the flute of dispel. Fight all monsters to build up combat ability. From a saved game, wander around and to get random encounters to build experience.

Some items, such as money, are not automatically picked up when found. Press A while the item is visible to place it in the inventory.

The same square may contain several items or monsters, each one visible depending on which direction your character is looking into the square.

Your character's proficiency with a specific weapon increases each time it is used. This will increase the amount of damage that the weapon may inflict.

The Scorpion and the Snake always want something, either in trade or otherwise.

Rassius III and Flamey help in your quest. Do not attack them.

Sometimes just talking to Flamey will open a secret passage to explore. After it is encountered, recheck parts of the dungeon that were visible on the map, but were previously blocked.

The game is automatically saved when a boss monster is defeated.

The map only shows your location when opened at a location that an Imuz-Ishoy appears.

SHADOW: War Of Succession

Special moves:
Special moves are very important in winning this game. The major special moves which would really help any player are projectile special moves, and the slides for characters which have them. Special moves should be executed slowly and deliberately. Do not rush when pressing the buttons to activate a specific special move.

Hint: Fighting the final Boss:
The final boss can only be fought when the difficulty is set to "Hard".

Hint: Relative power ranking:

1. Viper
2. Riggs
3. Anvil
4. Gabriella
5. Sasha
6. Carlos
7. Erika

East - Yukio Okaji, Masa Okao, Jun Nakada, Noriio Odaira, Yuta Shiba, Koji Kato.
West - Ryo Taka, Taro Seda, Shoji Minami, Taku Udo
Match the same jockey and horse as much as possible. Your Friendship level with a jockey will rise and he will give your horses priority over other competitor's requests. Your horse will also have the opportunity to get used to the jockey's riding style improving his race standing.

Hint: Race schedules:
Trainers schedule a horse's racing schedule around Grade 1 races, regardless of the horse's distance aptitude. Thus, sometimes a trainer may want to enter a Sprinter in the Spring Emperor's Cup which is a grueling 2 mile race. Keep this in mind when scheduling your horse's races. Even if you don't have enough Experience to Register your horses in races using the STABLE-REGISTER command, you can still answer NO when the Trainer asks if he can enter your horse in a race and thus be selective.

Hint: Raising your experience level:
Select "Watch" for your horses' races under the Options-Races command, and go to the racetrack for the races. Rival owners may talk to you at the race. Your Experience level will increase if your horse wins against a rival owner's horse while finishing in third place or better. The amount of experience you gain will vary according to a rival owner's Experience level.

Hint: Obtaining talented horses at an auction:
Ask a Trainer to accompany you to the auction. Listen to the Trainer's advice and try to purchase the horses that he recommends. Trainers that you can trust are Tophi Sudo (East), Koichi Today (East), and Kaoru Hoshi (West).

Hint: Obtaining talented horses at a Farm Event:
The Farm Event occurs when you become friends with a daughter or son of a Farm Manager. The chances of a horse becoming a super horse increase with horses purchased from farms. Also, when the farm manager's child reaches the age of 16, he or she will go to Jockey Training School. Your Friendship level with that jockey will be high if the child becomes a jockey in your region.

Your Experience level must be higher than 1500.
You must own a foal from that farm.
The son or daughter must be at a Trade Farm other than Hiyakita and Shizunai.
You are not friends with any other Farm Manager's child.
Follow the steps below to make the Farm Event occur.
Raise your Experience level to 1500.
Find a Trade Farm (other than Hayakita and Shizunai). When the Farm Manager has a child under 16 years old select the INFO command at the Trade Farm. Select the command a couple of times before giving up, because the Farm Manager may not tell you about his child immediately.
Purchase a foal from this Farm at the Auction held in August.
Visit the Farm after the auction.
Hint: Pedigrees and breeding:
A horse's pedigree is important in determining it's distance aptitude. Refer to the following when viewing a horse's pedigree.

Sprinter - Both mare and stud have excellent speed and agility. Stamina is not as important.
Miler/Router - The stud must possess a good balance of stamina, agility, and speed.
Stayer - The stud has great stamina.
Hint: Breeding:
A mare and stud with similar distance aptitude will increase the chance of their foal having similar distance aptitude. An inbreed of 3x4 (or 4x3) is the optimal breeding combination. This means the same ancestor horse existed in the stud's pedigree three generations back (or vice versa).

Hint: The French Grand Prix:
Your horse must meet the following conditions by late June of the year the French Grand Prix is held to enter.

Your horse must be 4 years or older.
Your horse must have the highest purse among non-retired horses,.
Your horse must have won 3 or more Grade 1 races, excluding the Grade 1 races for 2-year-olds.
Your horse must have won at least 1 of the following: Japan Derby, Emperor's Cup (Spring or Autumn), Arima Kinen, or the Japan Cup among the Grade 1 races.
The percentage of times your horse came in first or second in entered races must be 70% or above.
Your selected horse isn't resting at a Farm and is at a Stable in July of that year.

Hint: Secret rooms:
The secret rooms are like any other room except they are accessed by a "secret passage" (not really a door). There are certain wall panels which can be pushed. The wall will then slide back revealing a passage to another room. Secret rooms are usually used to store treasure, keys, food, first aid and ammo packs and more powerful guns.

Although there are no strict guidelines to where a secret room might be, there are subtle hints on where one might be positioned. Since the maps in the game are true (i.e. they are not warped space), a block of wall which is thick and houses no standard rooms (operated by normal sliding doors) could potentially house a secret room. First try the obvious places on the walls (e.g. Hitler paintings, Nazi banners and other obvious wall decorations). Some secret panels are in the corners of a room, others in the middle of a wall (midpoint of a wall in a standard room). There are also a few between two objects, such as two plants or two barrels positioned against the walls. Secret panels may also be found on walls in straight line extending from an object (such as an overhead lamp). Some secret rooms have secret rooms within them. Sometimes secret movable panels can be moved to block each other.

Hint: Secret levels:
The secret levels are just another level which has been made harder to find than others. To get to a secret level a special elevator (in appearance they look like a normal elevator) must be taken from one of the normal (non-secret levels). Special elevators are hidden. There is one secret level per episode. After a secret level is completed, the exit elevator will provide to the next normal level to be completed.
