Greetings all! I'm Trev, from the States. I am very excited about this new forum, and hope it takes off like the cd-i forum has. Although 3DO is my fav system, I love all videogames. I own over 20 systems, and counless games. For 3DO, my game list is 100+ and growing. I love the fact that 3DO has n...

Hi 3DO Kid, great job on your blog site, I found out about it through that RetroGamer magazine issue. The games I've got probably aren't rare by your high standards, so unfortunately there's no Firewall or anything like that in my collection, lol! I've got a fw Japanese games such as Virtual Stadiu...

I gotta ask, don't you think Space Hulk crosses the line from challenge to frustration? Don't get me wrong, I like the game, but It is one of the most difficult I've ever played. ....mumble mumble. I don't know. Welcome to the forum by the way! It isn't that hard. I beat Space Hulk back in the day ...

but even if you prefer the latter it is worth playing on 3DO, since many of the missions are altered. That would be a reason for me to not even try the 3DO version. ;) I only ever played a demo of the 3DO version, the full version is sitting on my shelf, still factory-sealed. :D OPEN IT. NOW. Take ...

I am bidding on this game right now, so hopefully I can do a direct comparison soon. Any ideas what this game fetches? What is a fair price? Anyway, I happen to agree that there is more than a passing resemblance. I got a copy recently. Ahem - don't look into that too hard - when did I cover it on ...

I think the 3DO Module can only be a good thing, another toy to play with anyway! :D thats true it might bring more light (and people) to the 3DO which is always a good thing i almost took the plunge and bought a 3DO blaster (i could have got one complete boxed for $60) but i passed on it because i...

Re: Saved games & The Horde
I was looking at copies of the Horde on Ebay, but I remember reading that the first batch of discs that were released had a bug that deleted all the 3DO's save files. Anyone know how to identify the fixed version (short of trial & error) I just can't bring myself to purchase the Saturn version. ......

Re: 3DO/CD-I ports
Since many of us here are part of the cd-i forum also, I'm curious what your thought are on games that appeared on both platfroms. Which system has the best version of each game & why? I am most curious about Mad Dog I & Creature Shock, which I thought were awful on the 3DO (Mad Dog because of the ...

Yes, I'm sure. I'm a big fan of the Wing Commander series after all. :) The PC version can be played in 640x480 and looks amazing then compared to any other version. Might be that the 3DO version had better quality FMVs, but that's hard to compare, as artifacts caused by a video codec are much easi...

Good idea, but... Let's buy domain 3doforums.org and create an international forum. The first language will be English, and subforums for Russian (I can help with list of forums) and Portuguese. And subforums for Russian and Brazilian sites will be able to be. -- Unfortunatly my English skil...

I like slow moving thinking games, where I can put down the controller and take a piss :) You should try playing some Metal Gear Solid games! Plenty of time to take a piece during the cinematics :D I quite fancy a bit of Wing Commander on 3DO, back in the day I played it on PC. Does the 3DO version...

Hello all, I'm Ben from the UK. It's great to see the recent rise (although still terribly overlooked by many) in the machine's popularity. I've been registered on the freedo website for quite a while though I rarely post, especially when I'm not very savy on PC's. I got a Goldstar way back in 1995...

Re: Introduction
Hi, I'm Charles. You may have seen some of my previous work: Frog Feast ( http://frogfeast.rastersoft.net ) Saturn/PSX/N64 Sporting Clays ( http://releases.emuvibes.com ) and countless other developments for Arcade, Consoles, and computer systems. I attempted to start Frog Feast for the 3DO, but ra...

Your rarest item?
My most beloved item of retro 3Do owning goodness. Is this. http://data2.blog.de/media/009/933009_9da57a5259_l.jpg Short warp number 3,571 of 10,000. I was also quite proud of this: http://i35.photobucket.com/albums/d163/will2097/DSC00166.jpg A factory sealed copy of Blue Forest Garden - until I got...

Yup, I'm here because of that article as well :) Tell me guys, what is NFS like on the 3DO? I only started with NFS2 on the PS1 back in the day and never played the first one. NFS 2 was appalling. NFS on the PS1 was appalling too. Honestly - the best version was NFS on the 3DO. Then there is a big ...

I enjoyed today's column, and it led me here! I've also been reading and enjoying your 3DO blog. I guess that makes me a fan? Anyway, keep it up, and it's good to see a 3DO community popping up here. I love "dead" systems (even the Jaguar!). It's always fun finding the diamond in the rough and havi...

Hi guys, All the way from South Africa and got to your site from the "GameSetWatch" article. I only recently (6 months ago) got my hands on a 3DO eventually. I'm a console collector owning 15 consoles with over 600 games and seeing that the 3DO never launched in South Africa it was very hard to com...

September 9th 1994. I was there. Of cause. I'm 3DO Kid :) I was a release day (UK) early adopter. £400, which equates to about $800 US at the moment, at the time I think it was closer $700. There is a UK magazine called Edge which was new back then. It was terribly well written, nice paper and lots ...

I said it on my blog - I'll say it again. Mentally it must be draining being a game reviewer. Simply trying to be interesting and original all the piggin' time. God forbid I had to be polite or maintain a word count on the stuff I do - hell, even use grammar. And I do it sub-amateur for a subject I'...

Yeah - I contribute - badly - to the Game Set and Watch website http://www.gamesetwatch.com I'm doing a series on Jaguar vs 3DO. My efforts always stink of trying to hard I know but hey - it's fun. ...anyway it sounds cool when I say I'm writing a column for CMP media or whatever it is. ...my mum wa...

Toxic Avenger is an all time classic. (A bit lower quality than Weekend at Bernies - my all time favourite movie!) I'm not a big fan of Soap Operas in Space - but I do like Sci-fi. I'm wading through the Iain Banks Sci-fi books as we speak. I quite like sci-fi films too. I have the Star Trek series ...
