Re: Screwed up colors/random pink with Japanese FZ-10

I wouldn't be wary about getting another FZ-10. I've literally never heard of a problem like this in any 3DO, ever. It sounds like a unique problem to this unit. It's very unlikely that it would happen again. One of the things I love about repairing video game systems is that problems are usually kn...

Re: Screwed up colors/random pink with Japanese FZ-10

I don't think that that blob of putty would effect anything. If it was placed there from day one, it's non conductive, so it won't bridge any wires it touches. If it formed over time, it could be a problem, but it doesn't appear as if it has. In addition, that's the power board. I don't think such a...

Re: Did My 3DO Storage Method Damage It?

That sounds like a broken/cracked gear. On one of the 3DO I repaired recently, the previous owner super glued the gear back together and onto the rod where it should be. It worked just fine, although slightly louder than normal. (if you are interested why it was still broken and I had to fix it: the...

Re: Nakitek 3do 3rd party controller complete fail

My Nakitek controller did the same thing right out of the box (or bag, as they come). The problem with the left shoulder button is that the nub on the button that pushes on the nub of the rubber dome slides off and doesn't reset itself. I glued mine onto the button if I remember correctly. As for th...

Re: Doom 3DO source code released

I think the more intriguing part is will it enable more development on 3DO? Granted, it's one of the worst ports of Doom in existence, but maybe that could be easily resolved. I believe that it will. And now we know about workarounds for bugs that we didn't even know existed! And, it's funny. I was...

Re: 3DO capacitors

From my understanding, as of now, this is not a problem with 3DO. It is pretty common for any old electronics to need capacitors replaced. It's on the top of the list of things to replace when restoring a system. Certain systems have nasty capacitors which leak when they go bad and cause problems. T...

Re: [Tutorial] Compile your first 3DO game

This is wonderful. Not only is there a better (and well noted, albeit in French (thank you, Google Translate!)) graphics library, the whole setup is there and ready to go. What held me up for the longest time was mostly that I didn't have the right files in the first place, so there was no place I c...

Re: Found the Panasonic SF-92.5 lens for sale, is this real?

Thanks for the feedback. I didn't know about that eBay auction! They do look corrrect from the image. But that doesn't mean that's what you'd actually get if you ordered one of course. :) Plus there's only 6 available... I have 25 here and another 140 or so available if I want them. That would last...

Re: Found the Panasonic SF-92.5 lens for sale, is this real?

Surprised people haven't commented on this thread, actually. I would have thought this would have been of great interest to 3DO owners...? I have been following this intently, despite not needing one at the moment. It will be a great item to put in your store so that people (especially those who ju...

Re: Introduce yourself.

Well, hello everyone. An introduction to myself and my 3DO: I am a video game and system collector, however, as a college student, money is tight, so I work on a budget. I buy systems broken. They are much cheaper that way. For instance, my Wii was $5. So was my PS2 and my Dreamcast. All of them had...
