I was doing a lot of 3DO gaming early-on in the year, Jan and Feb. Since then it's been bouncing back and forth between other systems I have picked up.. Sega/Mega CD, 7800, INTV, SNES, etc.. Haven't done much "modern" gaming, per-se, but I have been playing some PS2 fighters again with friends and h...

Yes Price. And yes lack of accessibility. I just don't understand why they haven't made a CD version at the very least. Frankly, I find it very suspicious. The demand is clearly out there even for another cart release. I don't understand why they do not bother.. The Jaguar community is full of dram...

Ah, thanks for all the info. That helps me understand better than I did before. Some thick sunglasses and a tin cup, if you don't do it right. Honestly, knowledge of how to start is a lot more important than money, but I wouldn't do it without a very thick comfort cushion, say at least $100,000. New games carry a profit margin of about 15-20% unless you find a reliable closeou...

You mean like the 3DO vs Jag? Hahaha, yes, that would work perfectly! Jaguar fanboys tend to become the most heated of them all when their beloved console is challenged.. Or 3DOKid could pretend to be a PlayStation fanboy on a Nintendo forum.. That would work wonders, too.

Just out of curiosity, what did it originally take to start up said-videogame store (inventory and finacially speaking, anyway)?

I've always contemplated doing that myself..

I suppose the easiest way would be to march into an unknown forum and start a flame war about how "x system is better than y system".

Wouldn't be a bad idea to see how quickly you can get yourself banned at another site. That in itself would be entertaining.

What makes a FMV game? That's a tricky one that I guess we can only speculate. I think my definition of a FMV game goes along the lines of video that is constantly streamed, to flow like a film of sorts, that also occasionally gives the player input to change the direction of said film/video. Most o...

Hm.. I don't know what the M2 arcade hardware looks like, but I will take a shot at this.. Using Evil Night as an example here. Going by KLOV.com, it is a JAMMA+ game. With the JAMMA standard, you can plug it into a JAMMA compatible arcade cab, or buy a SuperGun (or something of the sort) to play it...

Nope. Carmack was a Jag Fanboy and wrote the Jaguar version himself, and because, apparently, the consoles of the day (Saturn, PS1, 3DO, etc) weren't up to it, Thats strange as all three consoles are superior to the Jaguar both technically and software wise. I guess programmers like to push the wea...

Yeah.. the 3DO version is pretty bad.. Not as bad framerate-wise as the Saturn version, and at least you can shrink the screen size down to get it to run smoother. I think I managed to finish the game in a screen size about two or three inches wide on my TV, hah.. It's a shame though, with the quali...
